"we have a different opinion of both art and intelligence."

Well D'uh! Everyone does. But the difference of opinion doesn't negate. I.E. Two people will disagree on what is art and intelligence, but that doesn't mean one of them is wrong. (chances are they're both wrong! lol)

However if you want to get into wrong, not every syllable is a word japanese. There are many polysyllabic words in Japanese. There are 26 basic sounds in the Japanese language and about 800 characters in kanji, the pictograph character set they use, just for daily use. The full set is over 5000 characters, and many of them I believe are polysyllabic. If I understood you correctly, your supposition was that the haiku consisting of 17 syllables must therefore consist of 17 words is wrong. Your supposition even if you were correct that that made it art and english poems of 17 syllables were not art out of hand, is also painfully incorrect. The art of the haiku is to evoke images to the listener or reader. I believe just about any language can do that.

@ zoobee

"I don't see the contradiction between the odds being in Obama's favor and this being a race. he's in the lead, approaching the finish line, just like any winning horse near the end of a race. he's going to cross it any minute now. even if the other horse is way too far behind to have any chance of catching up, that doesn't negate that this IS a race which is just not quite finished yet.

Sorry should have made myself more clear. I specifically meant the attitude the media has been following of "Who is going to win? We don't know! It could be anybody! Its a real nailbiter! The next primary COULD CHANGE EVERYTHING!" When the situation as it is now, has been the situation for quite some time.

"also I think your poem showed serious talent. you should be a nashville songwriter with skills like this!"

TY!

@ Evista

"Let the Elitists and Blacks vote for Obama and we will take Hillary."

What are you saying? That you are stupid and white?

Your premise makes no sense. Obama is leading in delegates and popular vote because people of all types voted for him. You think he'd ahead because only relatively small groups of people support him? By your own admission you're ignorant and lack education but I'll spell it out for you: More votes = more people.

You = republican troll.

To those who say she should stay in

In the context of wanting a dem in office a lot more than a repub, I challenge you to describe how the dems can do this with Hillary constantly attacking Obama for the next 2 and a half months, while sinking lower and lower with her attacks, and eating into the time Obama would have to rally support amongst all dems with Bill and Hill's help to heal the wounds of the primary?

Personally for a while now I had supported Hill staying in as long as she wants since I feel that as long as both candidates ran uplifting supportive campaigns it was good for the dems. However that is no longer the case, Hill's 'white people like me' statement regardless of what she meant when she said it was really ugly. Uglier than my poetry. The dem party needs time to rally and heal.

Lets follow the logic...

1. Bin Laden attacks America hoping that this will draw the U.S. into a ground war in the Middle-East which can be used to grow his organization.

2. Bush baselessly starts a long ground war in the Middle-East, help Al-Queda accomplish it's goals.

3. Bin Laden is never caught.

4. Bin Laden & Bush are BFF.

5. Bin Laden helps re-elect Bush.

6. McCain wants to keep U.S. forces on the ground for 100 years.

7. Bin Laden wants U.S. forces on the ground in the Middle-East.

8. McCain's presidency is described as being a third term for George Bush.

Thus...

Conclusion: Any October terrorist surprise is sure to help McCain.

@ WES

Of course their will be change. REGARDLESS of what Obama does as president, the nation's political system and media won't be hijacked in some constant sick incestuous MSM/Bush/Clinton drama anymore.

Granted there will be a new nightmare, but it'll be change.

Shot herself in the foot.

Rightly or wrongly, the perception that Hillary is relying on people who simply won't vote for black people as a justification as to why she should be the nominee is going to make a lot of people re-think their support. Naturally anyone who agrees with her is already either supporting her or supporting McCain so her stand doesn't gain her any support, it just costs her support. Very stupid.

Unless Hillary is totally unconcerned with the future of the Democratic party she needs to hold a press conference and publicly state that anyone who would not vote for Obama because he is black is not a welcome supporter of hers. Put this issue to bed now or it comes back to haunt the Dems later. (of course that could also be her goal.)
