1. HRC claims 'Media' responsible for plagiarism claims against Obama. Facts show HRC staffers pushing the story. Not a BIG deal but since she's accusing him of dishonesty it could be a backlash of the story has legs.

2. Mayor Bloomberg uses the word 'fraud' referring to the 78 districts in the NY primaries where Obama received 0 votes.
Not that HRC had anything to do with it, but it will mean some more delegates for Obama and perception-wise, not good for HRC.

"If Obama doesn't follow suit, he can now be painted as the "special interest" candidate. If he does take it, his spending cap will limit his defense of these attacks."
Not necessarily. First let me say that IF Obama did pledge to run on public money, he should stick to it, but as far as I know there actually was no pledge but I could be wrong.
But anyway, based on Obama's fundraising so far, Obama could easily point to the public who've donated and say the people are his 'public interest'.
Could be a great commercial. Show off a few friendly stats of how many reg'lar folk have contributed to Obama and end with the tag line: My 'special interest' is the American People.
Ya, I'm kinda worried about HRC feeling the pressure and saying something totally inappropriate. I just hope she tries to keep it classy. Going ugly only hurts the Dems.
That Obama IS McCain's illegitimate black baby!
2 more, one on one.
Jefferson was a communist? Strom Thurmond was a communist?
Funny thing is because of the age difference it could be true!
Run with it
For those who think a black man can’t get enough votes because of racism. You are correct that there is a lot of racism but you forget that people are more than willing to overlook a general racism, for a specific person who they think can help them or entertains them (think the devotion shown to certain sports figures). And I think enough people now think the country is in bad enough shape that Obama could get votes if people think he can really help.
Much to my amusement I read in Louis Armstrong’s journals about how much he HATED white people who would come up to him and say things like “I don’t generally like black people, but you’re the best!”
So racist people could vote for Obama if they think he can turn the country around.
My advice to Obama: Start using a lot of sports metaphors.
What dynamic are you using to determine Obama SHOULD offer HRC the VP slot?
Shouldn't Obama pick someone who he prefers? Shouldn't he pick someone he'd work well with? And most important, shouldn't he pick someone who'd HELP him win the general?
Yes but considering the two individuals involved, him being younger and newer to the scene, coupled with his ability to 'inspire' he'd be a smart selection for VP for HRC. I don't think that can be said in the reverse.
Still Obama and HRC aside, as near as I can tell you seem to be saying that you believe that regardless of the two people involved, the second place person in a primary SHOULD be offered the VP slot?
Exactly. If the polls are right about how many people think the country is going the wrong way, its possible in the privacy of the voting booth, general racists could vote for Obama if they think he could help. While publicly never admitting it. Sort of the opposite of the so called Bradley Effect, lol
Lol, for the same reason I was thinking he should name a black vp.
Ya, I agree. I hope a dem pres will engage in bi-partisanship as much as Bush did. Shit needs to be fixed and repub buy-in ain't gonna get it done.
Here pass this on:
What is wrong with "It Takes a Village"? Seems to me a party (repubs) so concerned with the private activities of their neighbors would be understanding that all the people of a community contribute to the raising of the children of that community, either directly or indirectly.
Then point out, that the book was actually ghostwritten by someone else so its not HRC's fault.
I don't consider anyone who has enabled the bush admin to get away with breaking the law as bi-partisan. I call it cowardly.
Still I find it interesting that after how the bush admin and for the most part a compliant repub congress has left the nation, anyone could object to far left presidency.
I think McCain is being set up by the RNC to lose, by the RNC. Given all the negatives facing repubs this cycle, why should they go all out just to lose? Besides, I get the idea the RNC knows someone is going to have to take the blame for the consequences of the bush presidency and I get the feeling the RNC won't mind if that person is a democrat. A black democrat or a female democrat would just make it better.
Think about it. the repub field of main contenders were Giuliani and Mitt. I mean these two are practically dems. Huck is so religious as to be terminally alienating in the general election and Ron Paul, despite being the best candidate of the bunch is still a lunatic. So that leaves McCain, the horribly compromised old coot from 2000, who is old enough that losing wont be a big deal cause he probably won't be around long enough to bother anyone about it. The RNC did not offer up any leading lights of the Republican Conservative movement. (whatever that is)
Also think about how Limbaugh and Hannity are allowed to follow their own leads instead of taking their usual marching orders from the RNC.
McCain is the RNC's sacrifice.
