The point of this article is not to attack the military. You need to stop with your knee-jerk, attack anything you dimly perceive as being an attack on America, or the troops and THINK! The point is that as we've learned from:
The WMD's that Cheney said he KNEW without a doubt were there and where they were (THere were no WMD);
The aluminum tubes that the Admin presented as proof of Iraq's nuclear program despite the fact that our government's own nuclear agency said they weren't (They weren't);
The forged documents the Administration used to show that Iraq was trying to buy uranium from Nigeria, despite the fact that the CIA and British, German intel agencies had already dismissed the documents as bad forgeries(They were forgeries, there was no uranium);
The Iraqi defector used by the CIA as the SOLE source of proof (Curveball) of their claims that Iraq had mobile biological weapon labs, despite that he was initially dismissed by German intel and our own CIA as a nutcase until Cheney went down to CIA over and over to pressure them to come up with intel he liked. (There were no mobile chem labs. He was nutjob)
That the Iraq war would take 6 months tops and be paid for by Iraqi oil. (The head of the Military who ACCURATELY predicted that a force of around 400,000 troops was fired by Bush, The war is now in its 5th year and is costing close to a trillion so far and is expected to go higher);
Jessica Lynch was not being held by hostile forces, there was no heroic firefight to rescue her;
Pat Tillman was not killed heroically in combat with enemy forces. He was killed by friendly fire in an incident that was covered up, badly, and his family is still be stonewalled by the government to get answers.
What we've learned from all this is that the Administration is willing to lie, (at the expense of the military, you'll note)
AND
The press dutifully reported the governments version without ever doing its job of checking the FACTS which we as the PUBLIC should get from the press IF the government is going to give them to us.
So when things like this current incident happens, the question is not whether the MILITARY is lying or whatever, but whether the Administration either orchestrated it or simply took advantage of something routine or low key to blow up into something they can use to push for war in Iran.
Wow, that's an insult to both men. To Giuliani that he isn't beating McCain on his home turf, and to McCain, that he isn't a million times more popular than the biggest douche bag on the planet.
Since 2000 and 2004 with Bush & Co. validating people's fears of stolen elections, we can expect the 'stolen election' idea to be trotted out by the fringe of every losing side and slowly make its way into the mainstream, whether its warranted or not.
And considering what happened in Fla in 2000, and Ohio in 2004, and Diebold, and the govt's unwillingness to provide a transparent voting system, the 'stolen election' should be the norm.
Bush is absolutely right. Candidates MUST claim they are agents for change... IF the electorate is not happy with the current administration.
Based on the government we have plus what passes for entertainment in this country, I'd say its because the electorate is shallow and mindless, easily distracted by shiny objects.
Be serious, even IF the media presented campaign coverage of substance, the audience would stop watching all together.
Hillary bucks the narrative that the MSM has been pandering of being an ice queen by a display of emotion marked by a choking up of her voice, and you think the MSM OR the people are going to pay attention to or even care about an honest debate about policy?
Please! We need less substance! The majority of the people think they know whats going on and are voting based on information gotten from the MSM. Can you think of anything more pointless?
Lets stop BS'ing ourselves and let Trump and Atlantic City handle our elections for us in a 2 week long beauty pageant. Couldn't do any worse than what we got now.
First of all the only 'crisis' of an oral sex epidemic, is if you're not getting any.
Secondly, Maureen Dowd is hot and despite the ugliness of her writings, I offer to 'clean her chakras' if you think it'll help.
I've always felt the danger with suppressing hate speech is that you force these people underground where they fester and their rage grows. Nothing is more likely to defuse some future act of violence than to let a whackaloon have their say.
Personally I feel 'hate' is just as valid an emotion as any other human emotion and when you attempt to legislate 'hate' you're really outlawing humanity. And again nothing is going to make a hater devolve into rage more than being told that they are wrong for feeling the way they feel. That their fundamental beliefs and emotions are illegal.
We should be focused on violent action not provocative speech.
My philosophy is hate me all you like, just don't touch me. (unless I've paid you to)
