Too Mean Spirited

Cariobu Barbie has a sell by date that is rapidly approaching not because she's too dumb (she is) but because mean girls don't last

Sarah's ugly little tell all signals us that she's brought her sharp elbowed Wasilia harpy on the road and those sorts of displays don't please the masses over time

Fear not Caribou Babe will simply self destruct and then quickly blame everybody else... ;)

Gun Law Loophole

You do realize that the Fort Hood shooter belonged to that well regulated militia you always prattle about?

Active Duty Major US Army and an MD, he would buy own possess firearm of the class he used in the murders under any all gun control laws ever proposed including Total Bans..

Hysteria notwithstanding this greivous act was not preventable by any gun law imagined

Hopefully somebody will realize that the sturm and drang is as much bullshit as the incoherent headline since the cop he shot with his "cop killer" killed him!

Heres hoping CID can sort through the fog and bring some answers but Blue Suicide is still number One in my guess list and thats not easy to prevent either

FN 5.7

Greetings

Well Cop Killer certainly raises the hackles and its a total misnomer can we kill the BS headline Salon?

Oddly given current flaming headlines you'd never know the FN 5.7 weapon system is designed for officers and other military personell who do not carry a rifle as their primary weapon you know like doctors assigned to combat areas.

As for the FN 4.7 ability to defeat a vest? Overblown - an act of gun grab by press release and more fun for intemperant headline writers but the reality like always not so much...

When I retired

we sold a car

Hardly car free but once less vehicle with its gas insurance et etc

Mostly it works just fine, we consolidate trips and plan a bit and even spend some time together doing our errands in tandem

Biking really isn't an option buta little common sense shows that cutting back isn't so painful

My daughter looks like me

especially around the eyes spitting image except of course that she's adopted...

Big grain of salt here plus if it's not broke this testing has a major breaking potential.

I agree with Cary Next

We don't employ anyone anymore

this means that the 2/3 of the economy that is consumer spending will wither and even cheap crap from China will sit on the shelves so the death of industry is no celebration and the much heralded knowledge service economy is miasma its just 3rd world transplanted to North America

Base load is shrinking because houses in forecloure don't use any and unemployed underemployed don''t pay their electric bills...

no austinboy what really happens

is NO CONSUMER RECOVERY ...Here's a contrarian view on why economic recovery isn't in the cards. Unlike the last Century's experience, the American "consumer" is broken...

http://globalguerrillas.typepad.com/globalguerrillas/2009/08/no-consumer-recovery.html

When the economy is 70% consumer spending and the liberals join the conservativs to send all the good jobs off shore the engine of commerce breaks badly maybe forever :(

And that NAFTA, whore for big business, triangulation BS is why most of my peers see little difference between the Donkey and Elephant and thats why Netroots and all are doomed

Tuesday, August 25, 2009 05:39 AM

Nope just read the comment stream

The condescending is thick fog across the landscape as we explain why its so much better to buy cheap crap from a sweatshop in some 3rd world country neatly ignoring the comfort that a union gig at GM/Caterpiller et al brought for our elders

Good luck with that netroots thing the healthcare debacle should be another signpost which way we are travling since you flushed your union affiliates

Smart analysis dead one and the thread just confirms the elites utter inability to "get it"

Now I'm off to enjoy my well compensated retirement with heathcare provided by my fully relevant building trades union

He's not a liberal

He's a blue Dog at best surrounded by blue dogs all appalled by the heavy lifting that Health Care Reform turned into.

Everybody got really sloppy when the recess meeting turned into bloodletting nobody was ready but the teabaggers primed by the med company astro-turf

So now what?

Just like always with 60 votes and two houses and the White House we hear excuses about wait until next year

Maybe next time progressives remember and not sell out so quickly and cheaply blue dogs aint valuing the relationship

Original article: Airtime

Blame the TSA

thats game over, the one agency with absolutely zero accountability so thats great covber for the airlines. It is time for an airline Bill of Rights since we have become sheep who fear everything and anything

The irony of sitting six hours on the tarmac a 90 minute bus ride from MSP is rich...

As a crohnie who deals daily with unexpected unscheduled quite messy bowel movements the prospect of a long incarceration is less amusing on so many levels

I love my twitter but

Right now on that pompous windbags news filter the high trending topic is "Blue M&Ms" despite the fact that I and dozens of friends are having a spiritd discussion about health care reform on "our" twitter

But then out in the mainstream Michael Jackson is huge while people dying from being uninsured or shot by predator drones not so much...

The stones were wrong, sometimes you DON"T get what you need

to clarify a bit more

for the court stenographers of the beltway press corp to whine about planted questions is frankly ludicrous

The same group that called Bush's summer camp a ranch and cheerleaded a war are hardly digging deep for their readers, they just take it down call for the other side to react and file it

just sayin
