Original article: The rubes and the elites

Hillary = Nader.

Hillary = Nader.

Tuesday, April 15, 2008 12:00 PM

yawn

It's apparent who Salon's editors are voting for.

Wednesday, April 16, 2008 09:18 AM

Hillary = Nader

No way she'll win the general. She's the only thing that can put a Republican in office again.

Saturday, April 19, 2008 07:06 PM

Hillary = Nader

we`re snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

I`ve lost what was a tremendous amount of respect for Bill through this as well.

Sunday, April 20, 2008 01:23 PM

Hillary = Nader

Could we please stop trying to create an illusion of competitiveness for the one person that could lose this to the republic party?

Soldiering on

She's like the knight from Monty Python's Holy Grail....

'tis only a flesh wound!'

It's done. Go home. Please. Pretty please. I don't want another Republican president.

Tea-baggers hit San Francisco Civic Center

In the future this should be referred to as the Republican Million Man March.

Wednesday, April 15, 2009 01:08 PM

@ MAV in Florida

Or Glen Beck's Minions Man March.

Wednesday, April 15, 2009 04:42 PM

This is not new math

L. Ron Hubbard - thetans = Ayn Rand.

Ayn Rand got us here through Alan Greenspan.

@-- You Dont Care

Sorry if I struck a nerve. I didn't make you spit your koolaid out did I?

Wednesday, April 15, 2009 06:06 PM

I love Wingnuts!

Wingnuts are funnier than Will Ferrell movies... but less intelligent.

Fox news is a joke- with no punchline

Fox News

I watched the coverage of the protests. MSNBC was openly mocking the thousands of people who went to protest. Fox actually covered it. You liberals are missing the boat here - when thousands of employed individualists organize, there is something major happening.

There must be something in the liberal makeup that causes them to worship authoritarianism. "Get out there and protest" says ANSWER or Acorn or any number of vicious leftist organizations, and out you liberals go. But the tea parties, as the mainstream media was happy to point out, were not centrally organized.

In short, Fox covered the event while the arrogant journalists of the establishment mocked and belittled it. Hmm, those same arrogant journalists are watching their industry crumble....

It's probably fair.

I've been calling them the Dumbass Republicans for years now.

You win the comedy prize

Readerreader,

You have shown a keen sense of sarcasm and irony in your posting and I award you comedy king (or queen) of this set of comments.

Unless of course you actually meant that. In which case I'm no longer laughing with you, though I assure you I'm still laughing.

Sunday, May 31, 2009 08:16 PM

Thanks for sharing your point of view.....

But you left out the part where he tripled the deficit after running on a platform promising to eliminate it. That wasn't Tip and it created a pattern that has plagued every Republican president since.

Ronald Reagan was the start of many things that thankfully have come to an end with the repudiation of his policies. Ronnie may be the right's version of FDR but lets face it- he was no FDR.

Thursday, June 11, 2009 09:07 PM

You dont' care,

Comparing ourselves to people like you is what has given liberals a bad rap for being elitist. You should stop enabling.

Sunday, June 21, 2009 07:58 PM

I'm not going to miss this.

Get rid of this talking points gasbag

I stopped reading at "remains a center-right nation." Shame on you, Salon.

Amen. I'd love to hear a real explanation instead of the talking points. Of course there are no real reasons and I'm a little tired of time being given to those that destroyed the country and now spend all their time whining about the people fixing it.

Original article: Quote of the day

Fiscal discipline my ass!

I had a Republican buddy show me a chain email with a powerpoint in it that graphically illustrated what 1 trillion dollars looked like followed by the usual anti-Obama stuff.

I showed him a picture of Reagan (200 billion deficit), GHWB (300 billion deficit) and GWB (482 billion deficit) and told him that's what 1 trillion looked like to me.

she used to be intentionally funny

Now she's unintentionally hilarious.

Get her a TV show.

Friday, July 24, 2009 10:58 AM

I have never yawned so hard in all my life.

This was not only horrible, it was trite. You don't get to declare someone guilty of something as loathsome as this - with no proof - and then get all pissy when the other person has the audacity to attempt to defend themselves. A little more humanism and lot less feminism would have served you well since you seem to have forgotten that men are people too.

Awww

They took Lou's new toy.

He should talk about immigration or something.

Original article: The Megan Fox backlash

Those rascally boys

First they objectify women and then don't. Whatever will you do with them?

Monday, October 12, 2009 09:35 AM

I laughed.

Drudge may be a dick, but he wins an internet for that one.

I'd hate to see Democrats become reflexive like Republicans and disregard based on the source rather than the value of something.

Thursday, October 15, 2009 08:54 AM

Internet Role playing

I always laugh at the 'former Democrats' who pop up from time to time to spout the most ridiculous conservative crap. If former Democrat means Dixiecrat from the early 60's, I'll buy it. If you have a copy of your medical records detailing your lobotomy, I'll buy it. Otherwise you should let your beliefs be strong enough to win the day other that trying to mislead.

Thursday, October 15, 2009 09:57 AM

@ OnTheMeat

You are making me laugh today.

If there was tip jar, you'd have a quarter right now.

Don't you have more manly things to do than coming over to Salon and going all fanboi for a news network? I don't care who watches Fox @ 3am. Fox operates from a simple perspective- they let the other 4-5 networks fight it out for the sane people then Fox corners the market on the wackos. I hope someone gets you a FoxNews T-shirt to sleep in for Christmas, so you can be close to them at all times and not just during your waking hours.

Thursday, October 15, 2009 10:05 AM

@ the star

Please re-read the point.

You're not assumed to be lobotomized, you're assumed to be dishonest.

Thursday, October 15, 2009 01:27 PM

This is funny.

Trying to make up a technicality since they handily lost the election.

Sorry, reality intrudes again.

they had to change his diaper.
