Original article: McCain's flailing panic

LOOK HIM IN THE EYE JOHN. . .

I love the dog whisperer and watch him incessantly so I see an application for Cezar Mallins techniques on McCains behavior during this last week. I posted it in a discussion at seniornet but they were busy with ear marks so I brought it here. It is about his refusal to . . .

look Obama in the eye, at all. . . .

as applicable to an agressive dog having to cope with a calm assertive Cesar Mallin the dog whisperer.

with INSECURE DOMINENCE the dog will growl, bare teeth even snap at the air but if Cesar is just calmly crowding him and taking over his space, he will look away, avoid eye contact, back up and eventually give in the space and retreat.

what MC has been doing is practicing the AVOIDANCE aspect of insecurity and aggression human style. first

by trying to make bauld statements in a truncated no nonsense manner even when faced with having to reverse them. . .this happening all week.

then trying to not have the debate at all and having to reverse his stand on that

and eventually in that setting of bright lights cameras people, millions of them, he barely hung on, so eye contact would have been even more stressful,

This frightened man kept switching back and forth between solid statements and embarrassed smiling when proved wrong. avoiding eye contact the WHOLE TIME.

McCain is scared. I wonder if his next attempt ot get control will be to get rid of his running mate and replace her with GOOD BUDDY Liberman.

Original article: A new big lie by the GOP

gop big lie . . . race and the sub prime market

There are so many new words for me having to do with the financial market I've been keeping google and wikipedia busy.

credit-default-swaps business

CDS

in particular because it is a whole market, unregulated in itself based on the value of the insurance held by the lender of a siub-prime mortgage and the possibility that the borrower will default on his loan payments.

that gives the payoff value and it becomes the basis for trad on its own market. In addition it becomes a reason to promote SUB PRIME morgages.

AIG and goldman saks have a working relationship in this process, a contract in which one party buys the insurance from the lender awaiting the payoff from the borrower and the other comes into the contract as an investor paying aig in installments for the privilege of getting the payoff when the borrower defaults.

could this be the basis of the housing market collapse??? and the reason that such instruments were pushed so vigorously on a racial group perceived to be possible defaultees and giving the whole operation a racial tinge. providing grist for the mill.

Original article: No time to cry wolf

no time to cry wolf

dear ann

i fell in love with your books, the ones about your son and you and life a long time ago and you still please me so much.

I don't have a faith but if a wolf were to approach me and attack i'd wish for it . . .maybe. I also might try to stare him down eye to eye. . . .big mistake i know. i watch the dog whisperer. so who is the pack leader.

the part about palin is perfect. she thinks she is the pack leader and that poor old mccain codger lets her do it.

i didn't know i had company in really disliking that lou dobbs creature.

I like the playful people at msnbc . Fritz bothers me with his ending every sentence with "the best news team on television" because He is not. . . . imo

as for obama, he's my second choice but i so appreciate the opportunity to have one.and his grasp of the political arts reminds me of Lyndon Johnson's skills although obama is much more likeable.

thanks for listening.

rachel maddows ratings success

hey is that the reason I opt for the rachel maddow show over all the other available pundits. she letts others do the talking except for the cutsie interludes which are JUST enough to entertain. good job Rach.

Original article: Ladies of the nightly news

ladies of the nightly news

the vocal problem that brown has makes it hard for me to listen to the message. she's high and piercing. why niot a nice comfortable low pitched rachel delivery.

the cnn laides are all wearing the same brunet hairdoe, naturally I'm disracted since I seem to identify them individualy by that.

andrea and rachel on msnbc are easy. they all have what I eould consider good for me messages. Joan appears often enough on msnbc to be a regular. as for the men I find Wolf's voice pitched high and his excitement translates as sreach. also that ine about the best political team on television annoys me since I really peffer chris and keith and david at msnbc.

It's really nice when Candi comes on. calm and rational and low pitched.

I love the evening news bur wish they would stop repeating the same broadcasts and give up real u;pdates when they come on later.

blepharites keeps me toch typing with lots of errors. sorry about that. do the best you can.
