Calls for "Bush" to resign?

Would that it were so...but I think, Tim, that your last paragraph should read "calls for Rumsfeld to resign..."

Original article: The Gore watch

Let the man speak!

I do not understand what you are implying with this critique of Gore, as if every word from his mouth ought to be considerate to the poor embattled punditocracy tripping over themselves to predict accurately the likelyhood of a Gore run in 2008. Is that what you're saying???

I believe this kind of over-analysis does no one any good. When the hell was anyone better off when public figures with an important and appropriate politcial message are "advised" to play it coy and quiet??? For who's benefit??? Political analyists who want to interpret every utterance in the single context of presdiential candidacy are not gonna get a whole lot of sympathy from me....especially in May 2006. Not when we need as many people as possible with of a microphone in their face calling this Administration the right wing extremists they most certainly are!

The irony meter just exploded

From the people who brought us widespread use of torture and the waging of unnecessary war with a military and intelligence agencies paid for by ALL American taxpayers...they can claim "morally objectionable to some" as the bar for policy-making? And say this with a straight face and not a shred of a sense of irony? Good presidentin' there. Good press briefering too, Tony.

Like flatulence in close quarters...

...this is getting very awkward for all concerned, giving this hag an audience.

At least Charo could play the guitar...at least Paris is a harmless nitwit. But Ann ["is there a discreet place for me to do a l'le snort of Tina?"] Coulter is a big dose of ugly to taker every day. I really hope the people asked to comment on her will begin saying more and more "Well, let me ask you a question? Why are we even discussing what this creature says? Why do you keep bringing her on your show when it's quite clear she IS the joke while making her little "jokes" that are actually baseless silly accusations. She stirs the pot, and gets richer for it...Stop enabling her already..."

By the way, from above comment, "nigger" and "kike" are some pretty ugly slurs indeed. Saying someone is "gay", however is not the same thing, unless we are accepting the ugliness imputed to it by the "values" right-winger types. I'm gay, I wouldn't care if someone described me as such....but it does all sound very silly when Ann spouts off accusations like a 13-year-old at a slumber party who can't quite figure out if that boy in her class is "you know, gay or something" because he likes math and never asked her out.

I see now....my bad :)

Was focusing on the heading of message banner "Coulter says Gore is Gay, too...." ... the actual context of "total faggot" was lost on me. You are both right! There was a teachable moment on air for Ann there...lost of course. Ahh well, just faggots. ;)

Original article: Quote of the Day

"Vagueness"?

"Thank you for your comments, Mr. Hadley. Now please undress and put on this hood. Stand over here, next to the other naked national security advisors, whom you can't see, but trust me, there as naked as you are. Climb on top of them, you'll have to feel your way....What? you don't want to? Why not???"

Article 3 is written with "vagueness", I would call broad concepts, for a reason. I don't think they were intended as a guide for would-be torturors, who only want to know precisely where the line is so that they could stand within a millimeter of it. Sadly, this Administration seems unable to grasp that point.
