Bullshit

1. Mouthing off to a cop is not a crime. That's fucking bullshit to get arrested for that. We live in a fucking shit-hole, fascist police state? Almost.

2. Get the fascist cop off my fucking property. The fucking cop didn't have a warrant to come in and he knew that there was no break in. He didn't like some black dude mouthing off to him, that's why Gates was arrested.

3. The stupid cop should have left as soon as he knew. Dumb-fuck.

@stevec1003

Your post is not scientific. How or why does single payer "work" in other countries? Why do they pay less and have lower infant mortality rates and longer life spans? No one who supports the current system has yet given any thought or analysis to these questions.

That's like saying "building solar panels in the US will not work" or "nuclear energy in the US will not work," even though dozens of other countries use these technologies. It's just pure garbage what you're writing.

You'll have to refute dozens and dozens of studies published in medical journals which contradict your post. How are you going to do that? And don't quote the Cato article, it is full of hogwash and illogical conclusions.

The Reason Is...

Obama is not progressive. He's too busy sucking every dick on Wall Street. His health care plan will be a disaster (even if it passes), Americans' incomes will continue to drop vs. the 1970's in real dollars, he hasn't cut defense spending, and on and on and on. There is no structural change to our economy because Obama is a corporate whore who is smoother talking and smarter than his predecessor.

If he turned against Wall Street and told it like it is (Americans are getting screwed), then his poll numbers would go up.

That isn't going to happen. The Democratic Party is the graveyard of EVERY progressive movement.

JOAN SWEETHEART

Keep it up girl!

There ain't nothin' wrong with a Marxist analysis. It's just materialist philosophy, and it's a powerful tool of analysis because it is correct. The only thing that makes sense is an analysis of history from a dialectical, materialist perspective; it allows a hell of a lot of insight into explaining the ways things are.

Kisses!

This crazy bitch

needs to be put down. I'm not normally for such extreme acts, but how else to protect the public? Seriously, I would prosecute this bitch and lock her up. She shouldn't be walking the streets threatening the government let alone wasting the courts' time.

Never underestimate Fascism

These are exactly the same tactics as Fascists utilized in Italy and Germany. They are called thugs.

@ Reader

I applaud populist anger, too. But what we are witnessing is a FAUX populist anger that is completely orchestrated by the right wing. The right wing is servile and slavish to the needs of capital, the corporations.

We indeed have socialism in this country: but it is socialism for the rich. The ruling class completely owns the two parties, and regularly dines at the public trough, and then charges everyone else for the meal. We have witnessed a massive transfer of wealth from the working classes to the very rich in the form of tax cuts, and now bailouts.

These goons we are witnessing at the town halls are not real patriots. They are thugs manipulated and paid for by the very corporations who are stealing from the working class, and literally killing thousands of them every year. We need a populist anger against the direction this country has taken over the last 30 years.

Read the socialist/Marxist literature over the past century. This crap we are living through is all predicted as the logical outcome of capitalism (with some variations). The Marxist perspective explains what is going on now, and the fact it was predicted shows how powerful a tool it is to make sense of political economy.

@bhill1967

We have socialized wars and occupations, what's wrong with taking taxpayer money and giving it to people to buy new cars?

I am amazed at how all the fiscal conservatives are now crying foul with Obama in office. Where were the tea-baggers the last eight years while Bush was racking up a trillion dollar debt to the Chinese (getting tea-bagged perhaps)? I've not yet read one convincing explanation that makes any sense why we can transfer wealth to KBR and other companies but not to individuals. It makes no sense whatsoever to me to complain now. Too bad Bush racked up such debt, because the Republicans have no room to complain.

The Republican Party has been taken over

by Fascists. No doubt about it, Joan. And everyone who is against Fascism needs to take notice. Fascists will do anything, murder, rape, kill, as we are witnessing. I'm not exaggerating. We all need to take note of history. There is no "meeting of the minds" with these people; and Obama is an ass if he thinks he can compromise or make nice with Republicans. He hasn't learned a damn thing yet?

I don't support Democrats as I am not one (I am a card carrying socialist now) but I will work with anyone to defeat Fascism.
