Cut-off ALL aid

Someone on this board suggested cutting off all military aid to the region (the Arab). I second this. We should not be giving money to any dictatorial state like Egypt or Saudi Arabia or a state like Israel, which likes to drop bombs on caged people in Gaza for kicks (there's that sanction against "collective punishment" JonathanInTelAviv, dear, that, oh, let's say, goes against UN law, that you are so fond of quoting).

Call your reps and demand from Obama the following:

1. Get the US troops out of Iraq! This will do wonders for our image in the region.

2. Get the US troops out of Afghanistan! It's not going to work. At all. The Soviets couldn't control the country I don't know why Obama thinks he can.

3. Cut off military aid to Pakistan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Israel. It only inflames tension, doesn't solve anything.

OH, and JonathanInTelAviv, dear, Israel is no shining example of human rights, honey. Maybe you need to get outside of Tel Aviv and go interview the souls in the West Bank. You might learn something, sweetheart. You're no different than the right-wing Republicans here in America who think that the US is a beacon of fairness and democracy while it funds scum-bag states like Egypt and Israel, and invades foreign countries like Iraq, leaving a million dead in its wake. Wake up, sweetheart, and smell reality. You need to have your sweet little bubble burst (maybe it might be too emotionally traumatic for you, but we all need to face reality).

Only humanitarian aid should be given to countries (sorry Lockheed Martin).

Original article: Rush Limbaugh's new low

Hannity, Limbaugh, and O'Reilly

are the most effeminate, sissy, limp-wristed, queeny whimps we've ever seen. From their safe studios, they are like Bush "Bring 'em on", but don't have the balls to actually do anything. Cowardly to the core, they ARE like bin Laden, who himself is too chicken, effeminate to actually carry out an act he solicits.

Rush talks about "anal poisoning" and "bending over" for Obama because he secretly longs for a huge penis to penetrate him. Isn't it sick how the homophobes operate? They try to compensate in words for what they lack in fortitude, actions, or character. Real men don't act this way, only male adolescents who haven't yet fully developed.

Socialism

Where was this stupid, ignorant bitch during the Bush Administration? Bush spent hundreds of billions on an unnecessary war, and swiped it all on a credit card, sucking the shit out of Chinese ass. Huh? And this ignoramus has the audacity to criticize Obama? She couldn't win a debate with a high school debate team. There must be really stupid people up in Alaska who voted her in. No wonder America is a figurative shit-hole, dumbass Americans voted for these fuckers the last eight years. Look what we've got to show for it.

Original article: A warning for Democrats?

The "Hard American Left"

I would like to make one correction that seems to permeate this message board. There are NO hard leftists in Obama's camp, and NO hard leftist would have voted for Obama, or any other Democrat. We actually live in a very, very right-wing dominated political world in the USA, with a far right, and a center-right party (Republicans and Democrats). I am a card-carrying member of the Socialist Party USA (based in New York); I read the Socialist Workers' Party newspaper (The Militant) and regularly check out the DSA website (Democratic Socialists of America). I have never, ever, read an official endorsement of Obama in any of these publications. I've read a few favorable pieces of Obama on the DSA website, but not an official endorsement.

Marxists I know don't vote for Democrats. The idea that they do is just really, really silly and ridiculous. It shows the complete lack of a broad political debate in this country. The reason that Americans know nothing of the Greens or Socialists is because of the complete, total corporate control of the mass media. There has NEVER been a far left news talk show on any of the major networks, with Marxist pundits, questioning the very essence of capitalism, critiquing the market economy. There are plenty of quick, smart, and very eloquent speakers of democratic socialism who could make Glenn Beck sound like an idiot in five seconds (not hard to do?), who could talk anyone under the table in a few minutes. The corporate media would be very afraid of that. As far as I can tell, that will be a long way off.

Why Liz Cheney?

Why is Liz Cheney interviewed and brought on the program? What expertise does she have in the area of foreign policy, terrorism, or world affairs? Or the legal arguments of torture? She is Dick Cheney's daughter? Is that her fucking résumé, that she's the daughter of a criminal?

Joan can at least point to some credentials: she's an editor of a popular opinion/news site, she's worked as a writer/journalist for a long while on these issues, she's been on these programs before, etc. But I don't get why Liz Cheney is touted as some sort of expert. She clearly shows her ignorance of the issues.

These people cannot come up with a plausible explanation

We've had 30 years or deregulation. Why is America such a shit-hole? Because captialism sucks. Marx and Engels described it very well, and Trotsky and Ernest Mandel added to the critique of capitalism. If only reading these men's works wasn't so taboo maybe people would get a grip and quit blathering like idiots.
