Tina Fey is extraordinarily talented.

I saw excerpts of the Kouric interview and, I agree, with other posters, it was almost not funny because Fey's answer's were pretty much in league with Palin's. Sad.

What does it mean when women wink? I have no experience with this (women). Do women wink when they want to be cute? Do they wink when they want to impress (a man?). I totally don't understand. WHY would someone wink at a debate?

My suspicion is that it is inappropriate for a vice-president to wink when engaged in something serious, such as a negotiation, or meeting foreign leaders. To make light of some situation that demands seriousness is a gross error in judgment. I cannot imagine winking at an interviewer if I were applying for a job.

The Obama campaign CANNOT let the negative smears go unanswered. I would dredge up every sleezy association of Palin and McCain I could get my hands on. I love the "Todd Palin is a traitor" line, that's good. How about how McCain was fucking Cincy while still married to his maimed wife (Family Values?).

I would hit HARD right back, and quickly. The American people are the equivalent of slacked-jawed, drooling morons who need this type of emotional punch (the truth hurts!).

I am NOT confident that Obama will pull this off. I know for sure that the polls are going to tighten considerably because this type of shit works on morons. I'm not saying polls are correct predictors this year but Obama cannot afford to be complacent about the smear issue. HIT BACK HARD and with enough force to stun the Republicans.

Ken Blackwell anyone? I called his office to complain. I'm calling again today to ask why the Board of Elections, which is composed of REPS and DEMS doesn't have a problem, and why, if there is one, the Board of Elections doesn't subpoena the records.
