Traister is just like Walsh

Like Walsh, she didn't ask one question to these PUMA's about their policy differences with Obama. Not one. She didn't list any alleged policy differences, either.

Shitty journalism. Manufactured crap.

McCain was banging Cindy and she was smoking his pole

While McCain was married.

He's plugging into the party of "Family Values", so yes, please someone produce an ad highlighting the infidelity and extra-marital screwing.

I LOVE sex and think that people need to do more of it, but this is simple hypocrisy. Take the bastard down with this shit, please. The in-laws are a non-story, but the extra-marital fucking is big news.

Original article: Who is Sarah Palin?

What I want to know is...

If my federal tax dollars are going to this tramp who knowlingly spread her legs to have another kid past the age of 40. Everyone knows your chances of trisomy 21 dramatically increase past the age of 40, so I want to know if my money is going toward her kid, placing a strain on our treasury.

Original article: What Sarah Palin means

Joan you forgot to highlight one thing

Not only is she all of the above as you mentioned, a gun-toting, Christian conservative zealot but one who is a Creationist. This highlights her inability to understand the scientific method, to reason logically. This woman holds a pre-scientific perspective of the world, an inability to grasp the concepts of continuity, probability, dialectics . Truly appalling.

@Beth_W

I think you are correct.

Obama needs to remain authentic, and progressive in order to win. If any Dem tries to go to the middle, I think it will backfire.

As for Palin, she's an appallingly ignorant, stupid woman. I don't mean this in the general sense, as she seems perfectly capable on the surface. But we already have had one Creationist in the White House, and we certainly don't need a VP as one, either, possibly advising McCain. If a person is susceptible to voodoo explanations of how the Earth formed, what else is he/she susceptible to? We've seen the consequences: Putin is a man who has a good soul; everything in Iraq after the invasion will work swimmingly; the economy will grow after huge tax cuts, etc., etc., etc.

We've already seen the disastrous consequences of electing the American Taliban into the White House.

Alex...

We already knew that McCain was going to get the Taliban vote.

@Juliebird

Sarah Palin is a smart, educated person.

Oh, really? She's a CREATIONIST. That's right, she doesn't believe that evolution exists. Ask her how tuberculosis becomes drug-resistant, ask for her explanation. Apparently this woman should become president should McCain croak, and tell the scientists at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that what they've been observing is pure fiction, that no way, no how, do organisms mutate or evolve.

You call THAT a "smart, educated person?"

My god (no pun intended), your judgment is seriously impaired, Juliebird.

@apolloscreed

Evolution involves mutation, that is, a single base-pair of nucleic acid within DNA is not copied correctly. There are actually several points along the process where this can happen. These mutations occur all the time. Any selective process, whether from a drug, or from a "natural cause" changes the population characteristics. Over time, yes, new species develop; at the molecular level, a different protein is created, although one with perhaps a single different amino acid, but the protein can fold differently.

I specifically chose drug-resistant TB as an example because most people don't think of this as "evolution", but it is. It is precisely the same molecular mechanism.

And oh, I disagree, obviously in some areas, such as basic science, Sarah Palin is a drooling moron, I must sadly admit. What's even scarier is that she is being paraded around as if she's smart. We've already seen the consequences of a drooling moron in the White House, severe consequences. If Ms. Palin is susceptible to voodoo explanations of how life evolved, then she is susceptible to other, equally dangerous explanations, say, as to why Iran might try to acquire nuclear weapons (because all Muslim countries are evil and are trying to kill us God-fearing Christians).

@Juliebird

OK, point taken.

And, also, yes, please don't vote for morons. And, Juliebird, don't let friends vote for morons, either.

"FRIENDS, DON'T LET FRIENDS VOTE FOR MORONS."

The new bumper-sticker.

Thanks, Glenn

For writing about this. Last night when I read your posts and saw the video, I became very depressed.

I did a cursory check at CNN.com but found nothing last night. This doesn't seem to be a headlining story for the MSM. I'm not surprised.

We can always rely on you for accurate, no-bullshit analysis, with always a high regard to principle.
