@Rebecca Traister
[Read the article: Why Clinton voters say they won't support Obama]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Your article reminds me of Joan Walsh.
Older women who are ANGRY. But you don't interview, highlight, or even quote anyone who draws policy differences between the two candidates (and thanks for the few people who posted that Obama supported the FISA bill). Why are older women angry at a candidate, or won't vote for a candidate, who holds identical policy views as does Clinton? That they want to be heard? About what? What policy initiatives do they want Obama to adopt that Clinton held?
I regularly read Walsh's blog and asked her, repeatedly, to state WHY she supports Clinton. She never, not even once, listed a policy difference between the two candidates to explain her preference.
There have been a few sincere posters who have attempted to answer the question, and one even listed some policy initiatives for Obama to adopt. However, I noticed that in her anger she demanded of Obama what she didn't ask of Clinton in the way of women's rights/initiatives.
Anger at Olbermann, Dean as a reason to not vote for Obama? This is just sheer idiocy, and such fools should be dismissed with the wave of a hand, literally.
All this crap reminds me of: MY candidate didn't win, I voted for her because, I, too, am white and female, and NOW I'M PISSED. So, I'm going to take my marbles home and quit the game.
Really, it's not any more complicated than that.

[Read more letters about this article: Here]Like Walsh, Traister is probably just pulling it out of her ass.

So dumb-ass Americans don't know this?
[Read the article: The truth about drilling and gas prices]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I hear on local talk radio about this issue. I can't believe that dumb-ass Americans can't figure this out. How gullible. But then I tell myself that over 50% of them don't believe in the theory of evolution. I would bet that at least that many believe in the Virgin Birth.
Sigh.

Listen morons
[Read the article: The truth about drilling and gas prices]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Anyone who thinks that drilling NOW, I mean TOMORROW, would have ANY effect on prices, is a complete, drooling idiot. If you believe this (like my father does) then you listen or watch much FOX news (an arm of the RNC).
I work in the petrochemical industry. It will take (at least) hundreds of billions of dollars and DECADES to put any of the crude on line (into refineries and into the market). This offshore oil is very deep, difficult to reach, and would require an enormous infrastructure to be built. The reason the Bush Administration is propagating this lie is because Bush has always sucked the shit out of the petrochemical industry's collective ass (remember he's a failed oil guy himself, who was bailed out by daddy's friends).

Portman
[Read the article: McCain's man in Ohio]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I, too, live in Portman's old 2nd district in Ohio. What a moronic sell-out (although not as stupid as Jean Schmidt, if you can believe it, who, oddly enough, is at least a little more interesting, but nevertheless just as pernicious). In February 2003, I wrote Congressman Portman a letter detailing how/why Bush, Cheney, Rice and Powell were lying about Iraq. I even referenced foreign press articles for him, and quotes from the IAEA. He wrote back with a mindless laundry list of Bush talking points.
This guy wears knee-pads non-stop. He has sucked off or licked the ass of every GOP bigwig east of the Mississippi, making Larry Craig's airport stops seem like walks in the garden with Mother Theresa in comparison. He's literally a complete corporate whore, who will do whatever is asked, and can be bought at nearly any price.
He came from the conservative, elite side of east Cincinnati, went to the exclusive, pricey, Summit Country Day School. He was born with a silver spoon shoved up his ass; he's a good boy who does as he's told. Not the sort of guy you'd choose if you're touting "CHANGE" as your theme.

It's easy to laugh
[Read the article: Bush's economic analysis: "Wall Street got drunk," now hungover]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]About the situation when you're wealthy, privileged, and when you have no conscience. Morally speaking, Bush has the equivalent of a signal digit IQ. It makes me sick to hear/see Republicans laughing at his stupid jokes, are they all as dumb as he is? Must be.

Forget the chicks, just get "Bridesmen"
[Read the article: Bridesmaid revisited]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]A very good friend of mine sensibly did away with the whole bridesmaid crap. She had her best friends, who were all male, stand next to her at her wedding. All of the men wore suits; it was much cheaper and very low key.

I couldn't care less about where
[Read the article: What to make of the Edwards fiasco?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]John Edwards puts his dick.
This isn't news, nor anyone's business. I do agree that it's sad that Edwards felt he had to confess on national TV. What for? The only people who should be involved are him, his wife, and the Hunter chick.
If Broadsheet wants to discuss extramarital affairs in general, and how they impact women, men, and the family, fine, but this is just garbage.
