When visited a few years back, the WaPo commanded respect because of their willingness to take risks, write the truth no matter the consequences, and first and foremost speak reality!
They have now become just what the country needs the least - a pandering, NO standards, self-indulged rag worthy of no respect, save a few of the hold-overs from days gone by, and another pawn in the Bush/Cheeney noise machine.
Time for someone there to get rid of the KoolAide truck that parks in their lot every morning with refills, and start telling the truth again.
Maybe it's just me and reality that needs to wake up and find a new outlet because the WaPo no longer plays a part on the national scene that the noise machine thinks is not relevant to their pocket book...shame..

If Joe had any brains left or could at least have a paper read to him while in a waking state he would realize that NO ONE has an ounce of respect for him nor does anyone listen - or care.
To anyone with an IQ over 16 in either party, or on the street Joe has turned into a blithering non entity.
If anyone believes his speech last night at the Neocon fest OR his lunatic request of YouTube to remove videos from their site because HE believes they promote Islamic terrorism; is anything more than pandering to the lunatic right-wing fringe - they need to get a clue.

I'm with you Joan..Obama should have never given Warren the satisfaction of stooping to his level - on anything. No one could have chosen any better description of Rick Warren than 'preening narcissistic televangelist'...WONDERFUL!!!
Warren reminded me of Oral Roberts secluded on the top floor of the tower in Tulsa saying if his listeners didn't send him a million dollars he would not come down!! I sure hope he's still there, but I doubt it.
Obama's appearance at Warren's get together was a setup from the start. And, the bold face LIE Warren told about McSame being segregated at the beginning should have been a straight up give away..We should know by now this is a rigged game..to quote an old westerner, "Never bring a knife to a gun fight"....

IF this dweeb from AK has a clue, a SINGLE clue, what shes getting herself into with the likes of the Republican smear machine she'll run away as fast as she can...or be eaten alive and tossed aside like the rest of the non-insiders.
She has no plan, no experience in world affairs, no plan other than Newt's on energy, no plan for education other than what Dobson tells her, no plan on health care, and no plan to re-build the country's infrastructure. IF the republicans want to run on the issues rather than a beauty contest the game is over, but the media still seems to be dwelling on the money teet where they're comfortable with no accountability.
If anyone looks past the smoke and mirrors and thinks of the implications these lunatics can have over our lives for generations, maybe centuries by appointing three judges on the Supreme Court to overturn most of laws from the last 50-80 years then they may think twice. But Rove is counting on everyone loosing sight of that small issue.
