Laughing Bigtime

There were those of us who ASKED where this Administration and those in Congress planned on sending these terrorist to...because their own countries didn't WANT them. So now that there is a distinct possibility that they may be moved to the US, suddenly this becomes an issue???

There IS a morale to this: Before you decide to do something, you may want to make a PLAN first.

@ IaintBacchus

"What you do when you're the senior officer and something needs to be changed is GIVE THE FUCKING ORDER. Then you tell anybody who complains about it to SHUT UP AND SOLDIER. It worked for Truman when the military needed desegregating. It'll work now. It's what worked when I was in and I doubt anything has fundamentally changed in the last 20 years. You're given and order you say "Aye, aye, Sir" and then bust your ass to carry it out...usually complaining the whole time, but you DO IT."

Indeed...that IS true. But, a lot of people are not looking at some of the ramifications. Now, if Obama does this, and then someone who doesn't like it makes EEO complaints that some gay person is hitting on them, what do we do then? And there are other ramifications...how do you team up two soldiers on a long overnight job if they are both gay? Do you just trust that they will not fool around?

There are a lot of implications that one has to think about before doing something like this.

Funny thing is, no one ever thinks about it until they are in the position where they could actually DO it...or are currently in the military where they can see what might happen because of it.

BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

So NOW you figured things out, huh? A bit TOO LATE, isn't it?

Oh well, just 3 1/2 more years of this and then you can try again. MAYBE you'll all be a bit SMARTER than you were THIS time.

@ Omar Effendi

"I'm sure Mullah Muqtada al-Sadar will be jumping out of his beard. I am glad though that this will be kept to the embassy compound, in the streets of Baghdad it could create a pretty ugly and messy kind of counter parade."

I wouldn't worry about that...or have you never heard of "Man Love Thursdays"?

Original article: Playing the Pelosi card

You guys

make me laugh. You really do.

Pelosi called for investigations because she thought no one would know she and others on the Democratic side of the isle KNEW about the torture going on.

Once they showed they were able to PROVE she and other Democrats KNEW about the torture, she backed off in a hurry.

Now, I can pretty much guarantee you there will be NO investigations. Why? Because BOTH parties knew it was going on and BOTH sanctioned it. So NEITHER can point the finger at the other because BOTH are guilty as hell...and both sides KNOW and can prove it.

Here's an interesting question

Are the military personnel who guard the Embassy invited to attend this party? And if so, will there be any ramifications for their attendance?

Conversely, are the military personnel REQUIRED to attend this party? And if so, what are the ramifications if they choose NOT to participate?

@ Omar Effendi

First of all, no I am not in charge of the security of the embassy.

Second, I know that in Afghanistan and in Iraq on Thursdays, the locals get with young boys for their sexual entertainment.

Third, I am not uncomfortable...just curious as to whether or not you were aware of this. BTW, you can contact others who have been in both areas and ask them about it, if you'd like. They can verifiy my statement.

Well well

Welcome to the wonderful world of socialism where the government can spend your money, hand over fist to do what they think is right, regardless of what YOU think.

Oh and if you think the days of bailing out businesses, banks, heck even possibly states, etc are over, keep watching.

And enjoy being reminded that you voted for him!

"I was saying as far back as 2003 that the Bush administration was merely a cover for the biggest heist in history. Looks like they got what they wanted. I can only hope President Obama is able to stem the tide. Not likely but still possible."

STEM THE TIDE?! Where have YOU been? Obama voted FOR the bailout and even initiated and pushed for an immediate vote to bail out the auto industry!

Stem the tide? More like trying to force a tidal wave!

@ ELYDOG

"This isn't socialism. As Karl Marx pointed out, the government of any state represents its ruling class. In this case, the ruling class in the United States are the super rich, the corporations, and their lackeys. That is no secret."

Really? The government owning the majority shares of private companies is not socialism? Socialized medicine isn't socialism? Then would you care to define to me what socialism is then?

Because Wikipedia defines it as any one of various economic theories of economic organization advocating state or cooperative ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods, and a society characterized by equal opportunities for all individuals with a more egalitarian method of compensation

Sure seems to apply to me.

"This is plain corporate capitalism doing what it has been doing for many years - but BETTER and MORE OBVIOUSLY! Can't face the fact that your lovely capitalism stole from you? Have to call it by another name to hide the fact?"

I believe it was the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT which bailed out the corporations, even when the people told their representatives NOT to. And those self-same representatives will be hard-pressed to get elected, if the people remember this.

"It must make you feel really satisfied knowing that your communism never stole from anybody."

Of course it didn't steal from anybody...remember, in communism, everything belongs to the state...hence nothing was stolen but simply reclaimed by the state.
