@ cherylsass123

"THAT USHER HAD NO RIGHT SAYING THEY COULD NOT KISS! as for that prissy-puss " christian" type mommy; and her stupid, " impressionable little morons" she is the breeder of? let her go and scratch herself till she bleeds someplace where she had those kids from! I'd gladly kiss my girlfriend all the more if I knew that it would annoy her; then gladly say " lick me", and tell her to go home to her husband and butter his popcorn some more!"

First, the Usher DID have the right to say they could not kiss if they were "groping" and "making out" as stated. It specifically SAYS that no one, not homosexual nor heterosexual, can do that at there. Now, if they were just lightly kissing per the woman's statements, then that apparently is allowed.

Second, as to your statements about the motherand children...apparently you do not like children, have problems with christians, nor do you care if you offend anyone with PDAs. Personally, I have no problem not showing public displays of affection...I can wait until I get home, if need be. I find it polite not to offend anyone with PDAs and can show my feelings in private quite well.

You do not help your point of view, that homosexuals should be treated equally, when you act inpolitely in public.

re: His days in the Senate are numbered...

origins,

"If I were Barack and I won the Presidency, I'd name Lieberman to some cabinet post he couldn't possibly fuck up, like Labor or make him the Drug czar. Then fire his ass for incompetency 6 months later (AFTER the CT special election, naturally). There's more than one way to skin this particular cat."

AH a GOOD plan, origins...ASSUMING Joe is dumb enough to take the position offered. The man doesn't strike me as stupid enough to take a job like that...and I suspect he's quite comfortable as a US Senator.

But it IS a good plan...implementation is a problem though.

Seriously though

FTA: "Obama literally backed up Lieberman against the wall, leaned in very close at times, and appeared to be trying to dominate the conversation"

So what? Seriously, what can Obama do if Joe tells him to kiss off?

Can't kick him out of the Senate...only his constituents can do that.

Can't kick him off the various committees he's on...that takes a majority to do that.

Seriously, what CAN be done? I guess Obama could petition the DNC to withhold funds for his campaign...but I suspect they are already doing that.

Anyone else know what can be done???

re: the best way to get rid of him is

quietmind,

"Offer him an ambassadorship to some small, faraway country, or maybe even a middling one, and make sure he spends as much time there as possible. Or to the United Nations. Same difference."

Again, a workable plan...as long as Joe is stupid enough to take it. You forget he's been in politics a LONG time...while he may not be loyal, he isn't stupid either.

I was

Surprised by the amount of booing going on. Worse, someone told me about this site!

What is with these people?

ANOTHER one???

Holy Crap! Obama keeps surrounding himself with people who are bringing his campaign down.

He'd better start doing a better job screening his people or his in for SERIOUS trouble!!!

Well, we'll see

if it lasts. Last I heard, there is sufficient voters to make an amendment to the State Constitution to void this.

Of course, if it DOES pass, it will be interesting to see how that is reconciled with this marriage. WILL it still be a legal marriage if the proposed amendment passes???

I BELIEVE it would be up to the California Supreme Court. Should be an interesting ruling if the Amendment passes.

Hey,

@ jamartinjr and bearpaw1,

I'm not trying to make a point but, MAN, SO much negative publicity is something Obama doesn't need right now. It will make it that much harder for him.

And before you jump on me, I really don't care who wins the election as I don't like either of the candidates running and most likely will not vote.

So I don't have a dog in this fight...just making an observation.

Allowing Illegal Aliens

access is FORCING them to break the law and to deal with the criminial elements of America. In point of fact, when you allow illegal aliens to enter the country, you are allowing them to become criminals and to deal with criminals in order to stay in the country.

You want to protect them? Close the borders and let them return in the legal and proper way. Otherwise, you will continue to see illegals break the law, deal with criminals, and in some instances, become WORSE criminals themselves.

Oh and if you legalize those who are here, you spit in the eye of those who worked so long and hard to come here legally AND you give incentive to those who are still across the border to try to get here illegally so that one day THEY might be given amnesty too.

About making those who are here legal

Remember that you will be making the habitual criminals legal along with those who are hard working individuals. Worse, if you allow full immigration without any controls at all, you foster a decrease in wages and an increase of illegal behavior...AND an increased burden on all the social safety nets we have in place.

The sad fact is, this country can support only SO many people and if you increase the population without increasing the production too, you are begging for a serious recession if not a depression...especially if you allow unchecked immigration of those without a skillset to allow them to make a living here.

No, there was a REASON we had a control on immigration. If we take that control away, we will allow anarchy.
