viability
[Read the article: Chris Dodd's leadership vs. Clinton and Obama's game playing]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]That I think is just want they want, they, they who want you to pine and want the viable candidate.
Where has that gotten us? I won't speak for anyone but myself but I feel screwed!
The viable candidate is republican lite, regardless if it's Obama or Hillary. If we don't fight for what is right and compromise on key points i.e. FISA, for the “viable” candidate we are part of the problem. This is a call to arms. to voice, to give money, to bug family, friends, neighbors, etc. If we, don't fight now in the early phase of this and give into “viability” then we have done nothing but give into the middle zone, the marginal, we have abdicated the importance of our own voice to make a change.
You can call me a heretic, a loon, crazy, whatever! But principle is what we are fighting for.
Obama, finally made a step at statement. Why? Because, we, the collective whole who gave Dodd money, wrote our respective Senators about our anger, wrote Hillary and Obama, made them wake from their slumber.
We, I believe have the potential to be just as important as the "christian conservatives" are to the Republicans but to the Democrats.
Winning for the RIGHT reasons, such as our Constitution is worth it. TO capitulate to half way pandering A**HOLES is not.
We fight on principle or we fight for nothing.
My humble opinion.

Litigation?
[Read the article: Fred Hiatt's concern over "costly litigation" for AT&T and Verizon]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Considering the willingness of Reid et al to capitulate to Bush Inc. and seeing the struggle of 'rationality' and jumping through hoops to justify what is disgusting by any means, I can only come to one conclusion.
The extent and depth of the actual 'spying' on citizens if truly known by the general populance would lead to massive protests of both right and left, threatening the establishment and future of the status quo and all of the cronies who support it.
In short- possibly revolutioin.

re:tinfoil hat alert
[Read the article: Petraeus named second most influential "conservative"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I appreciate the comments made by kovie, Ché Pasa and ondelette on this.
911 was used to justify the Busheviks power grab and the terror and fear mongering has worked rather well for them. But I can't help but feel as kovie mentioned a new Reichstag fire to justify their staying in power.
and Rudy when 911 happened tried to pull just such a stunt here in NYC.
