Regardless of what you post shooter or any us on this story, it seems to be simmering into a barbeque long overdue for Rush and I don't doubt that the various transcripts will mesh into a whole very shortly.

One in my opinion that will should show the hypocrisy of the right once again in the beautiful rainbow of colors.

I will remember if truth be told that it was not 'you' that yanked my chain.

that I would want Rudy to win the Republican nod just so the conservative base revolts and throws someone of their choosing to totally mess this up.

Bush & Co have avoided obeying laws for so long that one wonders if this matters. But then it does in some small manner, IMHO.

Instead of appearing weak, again my opinion, the Dems have come back with a bill but with provisions that would not allow retroactive immunity and they want the books open on all wiretaps done since 911.

Whether Bush signs it or vetos it, the latter more likely, the Dems can say we are tough on Terrorism and not soft on the Constitution. It is a small step in the right direction for a change by our elected officials.

isn't it strange that they're idea is to go to Afghanistan and further away from Iran where more than likely they would be the front line of an invasion.

If it's true then perhaps this is a way of showing Bush and Co. that they won't be patsies for their new Neo-Con schemes of aggression.

Great that Dodd stood up. But where is Hillary? Or Obama?

Hillary, well she isn't any surprise but Obama is becoming more and more of a disappointment.

Last week I watched again "Das Lebeb Der Anderen" aka "The Lives of Others" and I couldn't help but feel some vague, no, not so vague feeling that we are at a similar place.

Reid's abdication of responsibility should he follow through and ignore Dodd's hold is traitorous to the Constitution he is supposed to uphold. These DINO's don't get it and we should get them- OUT OF OFFICE.

I also sent an angry but polite letter to Reid this morning.

I sent this to Senator Obama just now-

    Dear Senator Obama,

I have been watching your campaign with great interest but as much as I would like to put my energies behind you, you have been sad to say, a disappointment.

Senator Dodd has placed a hold on the current FISA bill that Senator Reid is considering ignoring. And sad to say you have been silent on this issue, not to mention the condemnation of Move On and a variety of topics that one would hope you would take a stand on.

Martin Luther King Jr. made a stand against our apartheid system and now it is your turn to make a stand against the FISA bill and a host of other issues regarding the erosion and destruction of our Constitution, one you have sworn to uphold.

So I ask you to do the WALK and even the TALK.

Because otherwise your silence on these issues leads me sadly to believe that you are just another politician, pejorative included.

Of course they give an editorial on Saturday when readership is at its lowest. However the rest of the week it never even managed front page status. And the right calls it a 'liberal rag', HA!

I am not at all surprised by Hillary's remarks and lack thereof, I can't stand her for so many different reasons.

But Obama? He is now nothing in my opinion but another part of the problem. I want leadership and he has failed, sorry but you sometimes have to step to the plate and be a man, or adult. Obama, this was his litmus test for me and he failed, miserably. He has failed on other occasions too, he has shown NONE of the leadership he gives voice to, he is nothing but a hypocrite.

On a lighter not Tom Toles comic today puts it rather straight.
