I Like to Watch

Today I really feel like a 61 year old grandmother. Reading the show reviews; there is not one I would watch and ever take time to rate. Are we such a small minority that our opinion doesn't matter? I thought we were the powerful baby boomer's? I realize I have generous spendable income, however, it must not rate with the movies and television

Having said this, you should know I went to the theater twice this week with my grandchildren and we saw Harry Potter, and the next day Transformers. Each time it cost me over $50.00 before we went to dinner. That should count for something. Regarding television, I have cable, cost $100. plus a month before purchased movies....a lap top with Verizon broadbandAccess and the Q Motorola cell phone which I hate. As it does not hold a charge long..I use 3-4,000 minutes per month plus my home phone....

That of course is before, you see my other gadgets, GPS in my car etc etc..who am I that what I like doesn't seem to make the awards and who are the people that do?

Lohan

I'm sorry she has an addiction, like a lot of kids and adults do today. I'm sorry she's so popular...if thats part of the problem then take your money and put it in a trust, dye your hair, change your name, go live in a monastery or convent and grow up. There are a lot worst things to live through. Terminal disease, death of a loved one..especially when it's your child. Hunger and being homeless to name a few.

Really, go to a convent, not a spa and grow up, and maybe you'll be lucky and be able to come through it and live a good life...

Poker

Are you kidding, I'm suppose to feel bad because poker has become computer literate? If you really feel that way, have a poker party at your home with some real friends..you can drink beer, eat chips and only loose a few dollars.

If you want to compete....well then get ready to really loose money..too bad we don't focus all that energy on all those geeks becoming entrepreneurial's.

YouTube"s copyright

Wait a minute was YouTube originally created between two friends who wanted to share videos?

Too bad, someone always figures out a way to ruin something great. Arrogance, creed and lack of common sense. It is a great way to see things we otherwise would never know about. If we like it, the name recognition and identity of the person, place or thing is invaluable. Too bad, I see a neat thing going into the court window.

Rove, I'm tired...

I think this administration just tired us all out. It's hard to stand up for yourself, when the bullets keep coming. I'll be so glad when the president leaves office, and I'm so sorry to admit that..Sadly I voted for him.

John Edwards What?

Pie in the sky..another candidate who needs a reality check as to what we need to survive today. We are in trouble with these candidates.

McCain

How committed are these people to subject themselves to this kind of scrutiny? I started reading the first page of the comments and wanted to be sick. Can't we be nice and if we disagree be polite? And why in the heck does McCain want his family subjected to this junk?

the son that won't leave

Didn't you say he was your only relative? If this is the case, it seems to me you would love having him around. He is only using your food..the rest you have to pay anyway.

Create some rules, tell him this is a must, or he should pack and leave. This will not seem like you want him to leave, however, that you need structure in you living arrangement.

Write your rules down, and ask him to read and sign..Once again if he resists tell him he will have to live where he can do as he pleases and this is not the place. This is your home, and you would like him to stay, but only under your conditions.

Create his own area for his food, and tell him you'll let him know when you want him to join you to eat. Otherwise, he is on his own. And he is required to do chores around the house, as part of his commitment. By providing direction, you'll be helping him establish a better pattern in life. You'll teach him about obligations and commitments. He may still move, it's now his choice not you forcing him to leave and conditions may be better if he does.

Once your son begins helping you around the house, you may enjoy having him there. Be honest, when you sit down and tell him this could be a partnership where you both benefited with his presence. Parents who don't expect their children to help out create monsters who think the world owes them a living..

Stop before it's too late. Your doing him no favors. Moving, isn't the issue, having a son that is lazy, and self centered is.

Good luck..I'll pray for you and that you are successful with your plan. (to help your son, not hurt him)
