I am glad they are having a Pride themed party, but does it really need to be all about drag, lip-syncing, and dressing like a "gay idol"? Those old stereotypes are so 20 years ago!
of course lots of hotels are the other way around. The wifi is free but if you plug in you end up paying their outrageous fees. Most places I go that have wired internet usually also have a network cable in the desk for you to use or a retractable cable connected to some sort of modem.
But I agree it is definitely worth taking one along.
Going "down I-66" seems like an awfully odd way to get from the White House to Ft. Belvoir (which is nowhere near I-66). My guess is that they would go over the 14th St. Bridge, south on I-395, then I-95 outside the Beltway.
The "pro-lifers" are winning the PR war for sure. So, why hasn't the pro-choice side done more to talk about why these procedures are necessary? Why aren't they profiling the stories of the people who come to the agonizing decision that they must have a late-term abortion? They need to use these concrete examples to counter the "baby killer!!!!" screamers.
not only the slanted eyes, but look at the buck teeth, another racist Asian stereotype.
Yep, just one more broken promise. The disillusionment continues. While I was traveling in SE Asia right after the election one of my tour guides was asking about Obama. His summary was basically that Obama is "just another politician". That, sadly, seems to have been a dead-on observation.
I agree. What sort of response do you think is expected here? Cries of anguish? People get shot in DC every day.
I am guessing this "big announcement" thing is a trick to goose the ratings.
It looks like John is already having a mid-life crisis. Those two new diamond stud earrings of his look like a reach for his lost youth.
He is as much a child as those kids are.
If TLC had any compassion they would call a halt to the show for the good of those kids. How they will support 8 children without their TV money will be interesting to see.
I have a Samsung X360. Less than 3 pounds. 13.3" bright LCD. Ultra-thin. Full size keyboard. 120 GB HDD. 3 USB ports, network port, built-in card reader. No optical drive, but I just used the one in my desktop with the network sharing set to allow access by the Samsung. All for $750 after rebate. A steal. Amazon has frequent mark downs and Samsung was aggressive with the rebates. I think it didn't sell as well as they expected it to. Certainly at the $1700 list price it was a little too expensive. You could get a version with a SSD but those prices jump to around $2500. They may be out there cheaper these days as I bought mine a few months ago. I think this model has already been replaced.
Of course we have seen people who have been repressed rising up for some time now. And it is probably only going to continue to spread and intensify for the forseeable future. The economic situation is especially difficult on people already living on the margins. And as they become more marginalized they will start fighting, especially when they feel they have nothing to lose.
China, Iran, Palestine, Pakistan, to a lesser extent Thailand, Latin America... We're in for a prolonged period of instability I think.
Of course it helped Jackson that he could afford to buy the silence of the other boys who may have/would have testified against him.
I guess that is nice about Delta and their expanding route map. But frankly I have stopped flying US airlines on long hauls as much as I possibly can. Until their service and comfort can match the foreign carriers I see no reason to patronize them. The nice thing about the big alliances is the ability to collect miles on one airline's program while flying on their partners. And then the ability to redeem those miles on the partners is also a big plus.
Tuition and fees have been rising faster than inflation for years (decades?). During boom times they were still extracting more and more money from students. Where did all of that money end up going?
After living under the Comcast monopoly/reign of terror for 15+ years I was quite happy when FiOS became available in my condo building. Better channel selection, more HD, fast internet all for less money. I jumped on that in a heartbeat. Now Verizon hasn't been all milk and honey as their billing and tech departments seem totally incapable of communicating with each other. So, 10 days after install I still don't have the internet speed I signed up for, but hopefully it will all get ironed out soon. I am quite happy to be rid of Comcast. They stole enough money from me over the years with their constant rate increases, and now they will get no more.
If these new suits make the swimmers more buoyant that definitely seems to be an unfair advantage. They should just make them all swim nekkid. It would increase rating and attendance and no one would have an advantage based on his or her swimsuit.
I thought it was unfair for Phelps to wear the suit he did at the Olympics last year too. The one he wore yesterday was just the pants, not the whole body suit. True enough he could wear the polyurethane suit if he wanted to. But that's why I am advocating no suits at all...among other aesthetic reasons. :-)
I'd be interested to see where the biggest drop actually is what the reasons are behind it. Seems like saying it's just healthcare is speculation.
How about all of us on the left who are frustrated he is just ending up as Bush lite instead of "change we can believe in"? I am pretty disillusioned already.
