Charles Dickens must be writing for Hillary Clinton
[Read the article: The Democrats' God problem]

Are freakin kidding me?
The Wright issue was flimsy to begin with. It's dead now.

Obama is a humanist and possibly the messiah
[Read the article: The Democrats' God problem]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]His religion is good works, treating people well, listening, being there, being sincere, showing leadership, character, judgment, discretion and tact. His speech was a portrait of grace under fire. He was the picture of a man who is, down to his very bones, the opposite of a Reverend Jeremiah Wright. He exhibited character, sincerity and down to earth intelligence to the dismay of some of Clinton's supporters. What he showed us is more powerful than whether he wears a cross on his sleeve or a flag pin. He truly is the candidate of healing, overcoming, and uniting as he advertises himself to be. He showed us that. Anyone who doesn't see that refuses to be convinced.

These articles are bones being thrown to the Obama crowd
[Read the article: Breaking the Democratic deadlock]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Have you noticed? Joan too has changed her tone. I guess the letters are working and to get more people to sign on and post letters they write non-informative, fluff pieces just to a throw you a bone.
Clinton is wasting her time and trying to assisinate Obama's character. First it was the plagiarism, then it was the secret meeting with Canada, then bitter-gate, now Wright (I'm sure I missed a few)...All bullshit issues meant to distract you and make her opponent look untrustworthy.
I know you have a vagina in common with her but do you really want someone like this as your president?
Try this on for a real issue: McCain and Clinton (the new Liebermann) are proposing a holiday from the gas tax. I'm sure you've all heard what a boneheaded idea this is. As a result, you'll save a whopping $80 in gas this entire summer at a cost of 10 billion to the US government. Hmmm, what is the cost-benefit analysis say on this one....Let me think--how about it's a fucking stupid idea. Clinton and McCain are trying to buy your vote. Plain and simple!

Barack Hussein Obama

[Read more letters about this article: Here]What is that accomplish for you when you use his middle name as an epithet!
You're a fucking Republican tool, like that whino coward that McCain threw under the bus. Someone ought to throw you under a bus, literally!
You are racist, ugly, and probably very fat. Go read a fucking Anne Rice novel or some shit like that, you fatass pig!

What Bill Clinton should have said...

How easily you forget
[Read the article: Super stuck!]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]For a bunch of Democrats you people really do have a hard time seeing how this whole Wright affair has been manufactured by what your candidate called "a vast right wing conspiracy." In fact, Clinton met with and accepted an endorsement from the very man she was referring to when she coined that phrase--Richard Mellon Scaife. Hmmm...I wonder if there is a connection here??
These are the same people that swift-boated Kerry and cast Al Gore as a wooden, know-it-all robot. They have started a whisper campaign of viral emails and robo-calls to Americans everywhere during these primaries implying that Obama is a secret Muslim, an anti-Semite, and using his middle name as an epithet. Proudtekhasscumbag and Anahadhooves and some other posters here are mouthing the same insults. Don't kid yourselves folks. Just because it's not politically incorrect yet, doesn't make you any less of a bigot hating on Muslims. It's the same thing white supremacists did in the 50s and 60s before it was politically incorrect to hate on blacks. You have bought wholesale the Bush bullshit of the past 8 years if you really think Islam or Muslims are the enemy of the US.
Besides, its a pathetic gambit on Salon because most Salon readers are at least literate if not better than that. The Wright affair may have breathed some life into Hillary Clinton's campaign but it won't last long. It is mathematically impossible for Clinton to win the nomination unless the super delegates overturn the will of the Democratic electorate, which they won't do. But then again, you girls did always have trouble with math ;-).

The math
[Read the article: Super stuck!]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Notorious WES is not a troll. He might look like one but that's a different matter. I happen to appreciate his good humor.
I agree that Obama will be seriously damaged by losing both NC and Indiana. But that is an unlikely scenario.
In any case, Clinton would have to sweep all the remaining contests by margins of something like 35% to overtake Obama's lead in pledged delegates. Pledged delegates is how this contest was structured and for the party to say midway into it that they are going to decide based on popular vote totals instead would cause a scandal. If they do that, how big that scandal is will be determined by how viable Obama remains. Thus far, he is not only alive and kicking but he is ahead in both pledged delegates and popular vote and number of states won and number of new voters registered. He will likely win the superdelegate count too when all is said and done.
