  • Jeremiah Wright needs a hug

[Read the article: Why Jeremiah Wright is so wrong]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Why should Jeremiah Wright go away? If you want to have a conversation about race, well then let's have it! Nobody said it was going to be pretty. He's wounded, as you say, and needs to be heard out. When a victim speaks one must listen with compassion. You are too quick to score points for your gal Hillary (although sometimes it seems like you yourself don't realize your own surreptitious motivations).

Also remember that Jeremiah Wright is not running for president. Throughout your article you conflate his limited role as a pastor in a black church with Obama's position as a politician running for the US presidency. Wright has nothing to defend, no position to refine or hedge or maneuver around. His ideas about America's sins are not Obama's positions, as much as you and your media buddies would like to believe otherwise. You take it for granted that simply because a man sits in a church he agrees with everything the guy in the pulpit is saying. Maybe he just likes the energy, the community, or maybe it's just a place to network. Is that so wrong?

Furthermore, I'll give Jeremiah Wright credit for not kowtowing to the media. The man's got some balls to keep keepin' on. I'll chalk that up to courage and integrity. You, you just keep smearing the guy and patting yourself on the back for being more "enlightened" so much that you think you can glimpse into his soul and divine his real motivations.

Maybe you should go away Joan!

  • Jeremiah Wright is America's bad conscience

[Read the article: What should Obama do about Rev. Jeremiah Wright?]

First of all, let me just say that if the MSM focused its lens on you just think about all the dirt they would find and how they would twist it to portray you as some kind of freak of nature! Simmer on that for a bit. Seriously!

After a whole freakin year this is all they could find on Obama? What a bunch of fucking pansies. Poetic justice calls for all thinking Americans to seriously consider what Jeremiah Wright is saying and to make changes accordingly, starting with who we elect president. The fuckwads who think Jeremiah Wright is going to scare us under a rock like WMD or talk about "mushroom clouds" are seriously mistaken.

And Joan, you really don't get your readership at all! Except for Islamophobes like tekhasgirl and lolcait (BTW, STFU!) these posts are all anti-MSM bullshit, meaning your bullshit. As if anyone on God's green earth doesn't have characters like this lurking around in their closets. Anyone remember Bill Clinton's brother? What about McCain's POW buddies, some of whom claim he sold them out? Is that too painful a place to go? I'm sure Clinton's got some real doozies herself.

Second of all, is white America really afraid of Rev. Jeremiah? I think he's a riot. I'd pay to see this guy at the local Improv. I honestly loved watching him speak. The guy is a hoot and he just doesn't give a shit what anybody else thinks, which is so fucking refreshing. If I were president I'd give him the Congressional Medal of Freedom, which he deserves more than the tools who've received it from Bush. I mean this guy is better than Wolf Blitzer, Chris Wallace, Joe Scarborough, and freakin Lou Dobbs (Lou is a serious poser if there ever was one) put together and smarter too. Somebody please give this guy a cable news show!

Drop it with the Jekyll and Hyde bullshit people. That's really racist, and I don't care if it's coming from a black person or a white person. If you can't see how racist that is you are seriously obtuse. Do people really think Obama resembles Jeremiah in any way? For the Jekyll and Hyde analogy to work the dude has got to be Jekyll at least once in a blue moon.

The worst to come out of this for Obama is that he joined and remained a member of a black church maybe, just maybe to get ahead in life. Gasp! We could never elect a politician who is...who is...political! Holy shit America. Can you even see the comedy in this here situation? I mean I love Obama and I almost think he's the messiah but I have never kidded myself about his ambition, his tact, his political skills. The guy was born for this role and he will play it very well, very well my friends.

I say put another million spotlights on Jeremiah because the more America sees of him the sooner they will get him out of their systems. It's like a joke that get's funnier when you try to suppress it. And I don't mean that Jeremiah Wright is a joke, although he is hilarious. I actually think the guy is cuddly, way more than any of the douche bags that deliver the so-called news every night on TV. Now those are the dudes that really scare me because they've all sold their souls to the devil (also known as Rupert Murdoch aka GE).

    My message to Obama:

If you feelin like a pimp nigga, go and brush your shoulders off

Ladies is pimps too, go and brush your shoulders off

Niggaz is crazy baby, don't forget that boy told you

Get, that, dirt off your shoulder

You gotta get, that, dirt off your shoulder

You gotta get, that, dirt off your shoulder

  • I love you Jews!

Amen brothers, Amen! This is the kind of movement that does justice to your honorable and esteemed intellectual history. Now if you could just get Israel to return all the land it has stolen from the Arabs since 1967, then you would have my everlasting and dying respect.

    peace not apartheid

We have already seen an Oedipal complex play itself out in the White House...i.e. Bush senior's Iraq exploits and junior's attempt to one-up him and stubborn refusal to seek the former's counsel. That's the real mess!
