once said that "in the future everyone, everone will be famous for fifteen minutes".
Who are these freakin' people and why does anyone care about their opinions? I wouldn't know West, Wilson, or the John guy (with the eight kids) if I were riding an elevator with them. WTF does their opinion matter to me? I was mad about Madonna 25 years ago mouthing-off about politics; she's a pop star fer crissakes, what the hell does she know?
Seems to me; the focus is misplaced. The media have learned that any bru-ha-ha is worthy of coverage. This is Jerry Springer America. Nobody talks about the serious stuff.
Whoops, shouldn't have said that; many readers here do. I'm just disgusted. Have you seen "Idiocracy"? Can that really be happening? We're off to a hell of a start.
I say let the crooks die a slow, well-deserved death. I had Comcast's premier package for ten years, I was slow pay one month and they shut off my service. I took all thre boxes and remotes down to their offices the next day and told them to cancel my account, that "I never will do any form of buisiness with you again, if that's the way you treat long-time premium customers".
We have been without cable for about a year now, and my kids and I don't miss it at all. There's tons of content online; we watch (online) TV or movies just about every night.
Comcast, like newspapers and network television got fat and lazy; this is digital Darwinism.
... and get an NRA bumper-sticker for your car. Bullies are always pussies.
Glenn, I notice that the NYT front page today, has an article about the Fort Hood policewoman heroine story. Several days ago, you cautioned against the rush to embrace such media sensationalism- even likening it to the Jessica Lynch hype- just like the NYT today!
... to remind us to be decent to each-other?
