The aristocratic Corsi

I know Jerome Corsi

He and his lovely family were at my house for dinner the other night (1). We all got a little drunk- and I forget where the kids were- but, he started sorta diddling his wife under the dining room table with his club-foot (2).My partner and I were initially aghast at this display of fungal-foolery; but Jerry reminded us of the triumphant purple-fingered Iraqi electorate, and VOILA! Out popped his sixth toe (3) like a champagne cork, all purple and all. I wondered what the hell was in there- Iraquis? Democracy?

Then they called the children in, had them remove their sippy cup lids (4); each, in turn took a poopy in the cup. Lucky for us, these drinks are sold with that spoon-straw combo (5). Jerry asked if it might be fun to smear the kiddie-oopsies all over ourselves, and then, since we were shitfaced, take a leak on each-other to “clean up”. Sounded good to me.

We were laying there; spent, with peepee steam wafting off our soft grey-bushed, steak-fed, fat-assed bodies; reminiscing about academia (6), and I asked him; “What does an intellect of your stature call himself?”

1. June 31st

2. He belongs to several Clubs

3. Counting left-to-right.

4. Avail. McDonald's etc.

5. Ibid

6. Sorry, I forgot

Welcome back Glenn

I hope you had a restful vacation. I missed reading the best blog on the web for a few days:)

Does anyone have any information on how hard Ivins and his family were hounded by the FBI? I'm wondering about the suicide; I do believe that a person can be so stressed by a prosecution as to take their own life. I've heard very little; just something about his son being bribed with the offer of a car. Does anyone have more? I also think it doesn't add up that so many of his colleagues showed support at his funeral.

Lotta first-time writers here today

I second the plea for an ignore button. Please Joan, where are you?

Tuesday, September 9, 2008 01:51 PM

@kufir77

I did not suggest "censoring" anyone. In my imagination (perhaps I'm wrong) an ignore button just allows ME to ignore that poster. People can post whatever they want; I would just prefer not to waste the time THAT I PAY FOR.

What I find wrong in the threads today, is that there is an obvious attempt to derail the conversation by trolls, probably signing on by multiple accounts.

Q. IS banning books censorship or not?

@jrbrown pg 21

Ugly truths.

Go shout it from the mountain.

Amen brother

My letter to the editors

Please guys,

The letter threads have become totally hijacked by trolls; I suspect signing on by multiple accounts. Is there no way to fix this?

Can't you limit one IP address to one username? I'm not a techie, but really, this crap is ruining Salon for me.

I love Salon; I want to stay, and I've seen so many readers threatening to quit over the years- I always thought they were a bit touchy- but now, I'm getting ready to go. It's become as vapid as letter threads at sites like abc or fox, just bullshit snark by dumbkoffs.

It's simply a tech fix isn't it? I hope you can.

@tnnnalling

Purchase an account if you are so interested. Or- just write another letter under another username.

Better yet, bring something to the discussion or STFU.

@tnalling

I was raised, and am quite familiar with, Christian viewpoints. Where you guys lost me was when somehow "Christianity" became intertwined with the politics of intolerance and whatever means necessary to forward the agenda of greed and self-fulfillment so-called "Christianity" means today.

I cannot stand by while my country murders, tortures, and denies rights to ordinary people.

My "Christian" understanding would never deny asssistance to those less privileged than I. While the party of greed and intolerance lines their pockets with my money and denies liveable wages to people who truly are on the edge of existence ie. border fence.

Your so called "Christian" values are hypocritical; while you bomb and kill- yet talk about being pro-life.

You will not shed a dollar of your precious income to taxes (witness the relentless attacks on Democrats about "Obama will RAISE your taxes") to help others. I have seen nothing "Christian" about the attitudes of your ilk.

"Christianity" now equates to selfishness, intolerance and greed. That's the new "Christianity". Witness any $1200 suit-clad preacher selling his books on Sunday morning for a visual.

jimtroy=TROLL

Do you really believe we have killed no one? How many are acceptible casualties? One? Thousands? HUNDREDS of thousands?

Nobody, not even our own government denies that it's hundreds of thousands.

What about our own, Mr. Patriot man? Exactly WHAT did those kids get killed for? WHAT do their parents tell their orphaned grandchildren?

Put a nice ribbon on your car. You da man!

@timbuktom, fightthetheocracy, others

I'm just sick of the romanticising of the kill culture. And now the RW has a gun-totin' slaughterthouse stocking-clad immature fantasy, MILF.

Cult of personality I guess. Of note: I called out a couple of First-time posters tonight. I got nothing.

Keep up the fight.

Kind regards,

cdr
