  • Shout Out to Kanye West (and feminist smackdown)

[Read the article: Gold diggers not that greedy]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

A rapper who gives sane financial advice? Now that is a FIRST!

Marriage makes no sense for most of us. It's not about child support. It's not about religion. And it's obviously not about keeping any oaths. So what is the point?

The interesting thing is that feminists pushed for the no-fault divorce, which has served women well financially, until now. Now, men are pre-nupping out of that, or even better, declining to get married period. The ultimate outcome is that women are getting married later and later -- if at all.

But the burden of child rearing still falls on females. So that means more single moms living on less money. So the ultimate result of the feminist no-fault divorce is a fiasco: more poor women, fewer active fathers.

This is just one case where the feminist agenda fails women.

  • What is the point of the video?

[Read the article: The look books]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

It dumbs down the commentary significantly from what Traister used to write.

"It was hard to choose one. But I did."

Wow. With prose like that you could write for Good Morning America!

  • Relativistic Bullsh-t

[Read the article: Feminist hypocrisy on the hijab?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

A hijab or burka or blanket on your head may be empowering -- when men are free to gang rape you and let you take the whipping for it. In that way it is like the fake vending machine disguise some Japanese lady invented to hide from attackers. But that is like saying Anne Frank's attic was a lovely retreat. Sure, it beat the death camps. But being in America would have been a hell of a lot better.

Feminists are inclined to sit around and whine that they make x percent less than men. Meanwhile sipping five dollar lattes and perusing the latest coffee table food porn (see pre-eminent uber-fem whiner R. Traister's latest video offerings). Meantime, their sisters in the rest of the world are raped, beaten, starved, hidden under blankets all day long -- and empowered?

In sum, this is relativistic bullshit. It stems from the affirmative-action PC culture which says you cannot judge minorities -- only white men can be truly evil. We saw in the Duke rape case where that thinking gets you.

  • Man Trapping

[Read the article: Scotland: It's still rape if she's drunk]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

In many cases this law may be fair. But what happens when a girl decides she didn't like the sex -- or can't remember it -- and claims rape?

Frankly, this happens. The Duke case comes to mind. I want to know what provisions are made to prevent the conviction of the innocent, or their trial in the media.

In democracy, we presume innocence, and put a high burden of proof on proving guilt. This law looks like we just take the accuser's word for it.

  • Radical?

[Read the article: When cooking is a radical act ]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Since Alexander the Great rolled into India women have followed warfare to offer comfort services -- including food.

But it's nice to remember that not everyone lives the comfy life state-side.

  • Better Cockpit Design?

[Read the article: Ask the pilot]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

That photo of the cockpit strikes me as the picture perfect example of BAD USER INTERFACE DESIGN.

Of course, I am not a pilot. Maybe that's the only way to do it. But ideally, a user interface would be much cleaner. Letting the user focus on the task at hand, rather than search among 8000 levers and dials.

For example, a single large touch screen could let you put an instrument into full screen mode while leaving others minimalized beneath it. Then the pilot could focus on knowing what to do, instead of where to find X Y or Z.

Maybe that is too star trek. But whenever you create something really difficult you also create a macho culture of those who can do it. And that works against simplicity.

I too agree that there should be an EMERGENCY AUTO LAND button. If we can shoot a rocket through the rings of Jupiter and drive a remote vehicle on mars then we should have an option to let a pilot remotely control and land an airliner. In fact, they can remotely fly aircraft in combat zones. So it's a proven concept. It's just a matter of adapting and integrating that technology into current jetliners.

  • What Anonymous Said (and Happy Holidays, too)

[Read the article: Year in Broadsheet]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

A little mea culpa on the Duke case would've gone a long way. Same can be said for Hillary and her War Funding habit.

But I'm afraid that feminists are too insecure to admit where they are wrong. And framing every issue through a single parameter -- is it good for the girls? -- results in a dangerously one-dimensional analysis. This makes them a destructive breed once in power. Rather like our Dear Leader George.

We can deal with that next year, though. Meanwhile, to all the Salon Feminists -- and to Mad Traister and Queen Joan, Of Hillary Longing, too -- may you have a very Happy Holidays and a safe New Year!!

  • Well, I didn't fuck any girls when I was sixteen

[Read the article: Shaming Jamie Lynn Spears]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

So this whole line that "You can't stop kids from having sex" is total B.S. You definitely can. They can wait a couple more years.

As for birth control for sixteen year olds, it is unhealthy. Increases your risk of blood clots, reduces bone density, and has many other side effects. The feminist idea of just shooting the kids up and letting them play (with each other) -- b/c it's inevitable -- is incredibly neglectful and stupid.

Finally, if the guy is several years older, it's likely illegal. Does he get a pass b/c she is famous?

Yet more feminist hypocrisy. Hard to swallow.

P.S. Maybe that is what Ms. Spears should have done?

  • And I thought Tracy was gonna show us how to use it!

[Read the article: A salve for women's sex drive]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

But seriously, what happens when women increase their testosterone levels like this? I can just see the fine-print:

"May cause beard growth, belching, and addiction to ESPN. Women taking this product for more than six weeks have been known to shave their heads, skip town, and join the traveling Steel Cage Roller Derby Death Match. Not for use by feminists, who may become angry feminists, nor angry feminists, who may become men. Six percent of patients who take this drug report occasional uncontrollable roaring."
