Conspiracy: Jews are not doing enough to stop Neo-Cons. Maybe they ARE Neo-Cons!!!

[Read more letters about this article: Here]This is a tired old liberal line that pops up at every ANSWER anti-war march. That somehow there is a Jewish agenda behind neo-conservative politics. And the evidence today is that the ADL won't attack Bill O'Reilly and his pals for attacking Liberals.
Well, that's stretching it REALLY THIN, Glenn. Jews are more opposed to this war than any other group according to the Gallup Poll. And most Jews are liberal. But Bill O'Reilly and Fox are not attacking Jews. So what is the ADL's beef with them?
The real problem here is the Anti-War Left's ongoing attempt to make this a war run by the Jews b/c it was good for Israel. That formulation is pure anti-semitism. It says the Jews control the media, or the politics, and put the interests of other nations (read: ISRAEL) first. It is the same anti-semitism of Va. Congressman Jim Moran who DID say that Jews are to blame for the war:
"If it were not for the strong support of the Jewish community for this war with Iraq, we would not be doing this," Moran said in comments first reported by the Reston Connection and not disputed by Moran. "The leaders of the Jewish community are influential enough that they could change the direction of where this is going, and I think they should."

The interesting thing is that Moran gets ALL of his money from Arab groups. Groups notorious for hating Jews and Israel. So of course he has to give them a shout-out from time to time. What do you expect from a Good O'le Boy?
Glenn Greenwald is worse. He is a TRUE BELIEVER full of PASSIONATE INTENSITY. He wants to believe someone is at fault. And it's easy to think that it must be the Jews. They are so powerful. They could do anything to stop these people. Why don't they do it? They must be in cahoots . . .
Sadly, that ignorant formula is precisely the breeding ground for Jew-hatred across the centuries. It is this implication -- the Jews silently support atrocities -- which leads to pogroms and holocausts. And if we remember our history, it happens in the most civilized nations, led by the most educated individuals. Glenn Greenwald is one of them. And I dare Salon to put a red star on this letter.

And to all those liberals having hissy-fits over the ADL, this is the company you keep when you start embracing Jewish conspiracy theories . .. pretty, ain't it?

I think we can agree
That some Jews need to be harshly excoriated for something or other. Whatever the other is, I'm sure it's something they need to be slapped down for. It helps to keep the rest of them in line.

[Read more letters about this article: Here]Gotta wonder what is wrong with Salon readers that they attack this excellent article. Why does nobody care that most studies are industry funded? That the FDA approves aspartame in the manner described? That babies are growing breasts?
I think people refuse to recognize how technology kills them. They don't want to think about it. They'd rather get cancer and die.

We just didn't have a Nobel Laureate's knack for naming our disparagement so effectively. Thanks to Dorris Lessing for shedding some light on this situation before she "pops off" to never, never land!
Really, what a relief that a brilliant woman recognize the situation for what it is. The issue now really is who will take care of the kids, since women still want to have them, but no longer want to stay home with them, preferring to attempt to outman men in the workforce.
As for the ladies of Broadsheet, they will no doubt continue their hate parade unabated, because that is simply what they do, and that is what brings in their money. But it's nice to see that no less than the Nobel Prize committee has distinguished between the great classical feminists of old, and the screeching raptors of new media.
