Once more, another insightful article.
All the fathers men will not be able to put Humpty Dumpty back together again.
I don't see the Baker group accomplishing much because dubya has serious problems of character and personality. The only thing that might move him is the threat of impeachment and Pelosi has already taken that off the table.
This action on here part is understandable because she and the Dems have only two years to get something done and that is way to short a period of time to undo the immense damage dubya and his legion have done to the US and the world.
With so little time left she has chosen to try to get something done rather than spending the next two years in impeachment proceedings. And I can truly understand her point of view.
So unless the american people DEMAND impeachment proceedings there will be none.
Because there will be no impeachment investigations 'we the people' will never learn what happend and who did it, so we, really America is doomed to it happening again. Why, because the factions that caused this horror in America will never rest. Does anyone really think the theocons( the Catholic Church and their allies the white southern Confederate states Baptists) the neocons and the military industrial complex is just going away despite the fact that they almost destroyed America. I think not.
A rotten tree does not yield good fruit. The ends do not justify the means. Render to caesar... and render to God... We must throw the scribes, pharisees and money lenders out of the temple because Jesus did it and because our great Constitution demands it. But can we and will 'we the people' ever be able to do that, I don't ever see that happening!!!
Given that there are not going to be any impeachment proceedings dubya will go on his merry way doing the same things he has been doing because he still has some support from the Catholic Church, my church, and the white southern confederate states Baptists, the neocons, Cheney and his constant behind the scenes obsessive goal to 'project american power' around the world and the military industrial complex.
Given that dubya will go on his merry way doing the same things his 'codpiece' (fixated as he is at the preteen or earlier level of emotional development) keeps obsessively telling him to do America is doomed to more of the same only in so far as the Dems can put some LIMITS on him.
So not only does dubya have some powerful allies whose allegiance is not dedicated to america, like the Catholic Church who believe they KNOW the mind of God and will never stop acting upon that belief no matter what it does to america or the world, dubya also has some persuasive tools at his disposal the main tool being the use of the Catholic strategy called EQUIVOCATION which is reall nothing more than lying or manipulating the truth.
Most Catholics wil be angry at my saying this but they are servants of the Vatican and Pope Benedict XVI and the USCCB(US Conference of Catholic Bishops) all of whom have another agenda for america of being, not Pro-Life but really only Pro-Birth, and following along that line of thinking leads america to the edge of doom.
The other fundamentalist absolutist religion in america is the white southern confederate states Baptists who endlessly support Israel because they want to be 'raptured into heaven.
So with Bush still having some supporters for his terribly immature 'codpiece' mentality who provide he and Rove with the advice they need I don't see a lot of hope for the rethuglicants, dubya and shotgun Cheney with their endless amounts of money, which always equals power, to engage in much change of the IMPERIAL PRESIDENCY. Nor do I see much hope that the Dems will be able to bring about a significant amount of change to the IMPERIAL PRESIDENCY.
The only real hope is the american people and their vote during the 2008 election of electing a Dem prez. And then 'we the people' will have to stay on top of the Dems and keep pushing them to clean up the slime not only of the repub parties dirty work over the last seven years(really the last 27yrs, since Reagan, but that another discussion, but the usual slime that endlessly permeates Washington and almost all politicians.
Finally someone in our government has got to help the American and Israeli people to achieve peace by putting sufficient pressure on our government to put sufficient pressure on the Israeli warhawks(not the Israeli people)to, despite their fear and endless anger to JUST MAKE A FAIR AND LASTING PEACE WITH THE PALESTINIAN PEOPLE so the entire world can move on to even more important issues like spending money on world health issues and world poverty.
Pray for peace-
Demand diplomacy, forbid war-
Let's all stop the killing of US troops and the all middle east peoples and people everywhere.
Let's stop the us or them mentality. THEY DID NOT ATTACK US. IT WAS OSAMA bin LADEN WHO ATTACKED US and his supporters in SAUDI ARABIA, who the friends of the Bush family, hmmmm. Makes you all wonder doesn't it, it sure makes me wonder.
War and OIL porfiteering MUST be stopped from causing endless war because the costs to us regular, everyday, ordinary people are FAR, FAR, FAR to great.
May God help us all.
