Generals, Where Does Your Duty Begin And End

[Read more letters about this article: Here]Duty to country seems to have fallen on hard times when it comes to people like: Colin Powell, Tommy Franks and Peter Pace et.al. These guys don't/didn't serve on behalf of the nation and the Constitution they served on behalf of the republican party and their own personal careers.
In the future if you generals can't stand up to the repub slime do something anything even if you have to request other duty and get bypassed for future promotions in order to preserve our troops on the ground, our Constitution and our nation.
I'll take Gen. Shinseki any time over the rest of you military repubs. Obviously he was determined to do the war the right way and the way that best protected our grunts on the ground who really do all the HEAVY LIFTING in war.
Using the proper amount of troops to do the job would have also minimized the huge number of deaths of Iraqi and Afghani citizens as well. Remember they are people too, human beings and children of God and equal in His sight.

I think the only reasonable solution is to get the other countries in the middle east involved in putting together a package of solution strategies. But georgies ego is so needy he could never admit that he needs help and would never accept any because he is to sociopathic to ever understand that he has screwed up, big time.
Then re that idea there is the problem of the Saudi family Egypt and Jordan all of whom have such undying love for Bushie boy that they may just suck up to him and scuttle the development of any acceptable strategies.
Bush, the Texas twit, shotgun Cheney and the hate mongering christian fundies in the catholic church and the white confederate Baptists will never admit they made a mistake supporting 'Mr. Boosh' because, you see, none of them have any shame or humility. They are so full of pride they can't ever admit fault and neither will Boosh so the other 241 million of 'we the people' are just strangled and stuck with this hateful rascist bunch on their never ending killing spree.

[Read more letters about this article: Here]Jean Schmidt is a Catholic Republican and I've got a few of them in my family. I am a catholic but most certainly not a fundamentalist.
I am a live and let live catholic. Most catholics are fundies, radical right wing theocrats. They slavishly do what the pope tells them to do no matter the cost in lives and treasure to our troops or the many tens of thousands of Iraqi and Afghani civilians who are now dead.
The catholic rethugs are just that above all else and only dedicated to the party, they are americans last or not at all.
They think they know and are doing the will of God but in reality they are only doing the will of the pope, just one man and who has his own agenda.
These catholic rethugs claim to be Pro-Life but they are not, they are only Pro-Birth and once the child is born they care not one bit for the well being of the child or his family. In fact the Repub agenda is CONSERVATIVE and that word is a repub code word meaning no gov't support for children, families and wage earners. Of course they are readily willing to spend endless amounts of taxpayer dollars on welfare/subsidies for corporations and the wealthy tax cuts.
Taxpayer dollars must be spent to benefit the TAXPAYERS. Yet catholic repubs never support this.
Jean Schmidt comes from that portion of Ohio called Cincinnati which is a hotbed of republicanism especially catholic republicanism.
I plan to hold Jean Schmidt completly responsible for her words of viciousness against Murtha. I hope Dr. Wulsin soundly beats Schmidt and I never have to hear from or about this woman again. It's amazing how religion corrupts.
Schmidt being a repub is guilty of all the lying viciousness that Karl Rove, George Bush and Dick Cheney spit out to smear others and befoul our entire political process.
How any catholic can be a repub is totally beyond me.
How any catholic can claim to be Pro-Life is beyond me. What exactly does Pro-Life mean in the minds of catholic repubs when they deny the use of tax dollars to benefit the Taxpayers and their families. And how can these catholic repub criminals/corrupters/liars claim to be catholic and support George Bush and his killing and maiming of what now amounts to a million or more of God's children may make the pope happy but it all is in clear violation of the laws of God(thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not covet thy neighbors goods(oil) and the teachings of Jesus Christ(whatever you do to my brethern you do unto me). What exactly do these stupid and terribly biased catholic repubs/neocons not understand about the laws of God and the teachings of Christ. They seem very clear to me and easily understandable.
Not only do I hold Schmidt and the repubs responsible for their vicious words and actions but I hold the pope equally responsible because he too is a republican because he and the previous pope so completely and totally support and endorse the republican party and all of it's actions and horrors.
Wake up catholics, think for yourself, and get your priorities in line with the laws of God and the teachings of Christ before it is too late. You are guilty of unbelievable amounts of damage already.
