Many thanks for a great article, we all owe you a debt of gratitude for your insightful writing/reporting of events as seen from your perspective. I greatly value your perspective, you can speak for me anytime and all the time. Don't ever stop, America desperately needs many more like you. Thanks for your dedication and patriotism. This article should be emblazoned on the front page of every newspaper in America. Unfortunately the MSM is biased to the right although some are not as far radical right as Bush and his flunkies.
Phil Ulm commented on the damage to our country by the neocons or as I see them the nazi-fascist neocons who are a copy of Hitler and his tactics.
Mr. Ulm also commented on the evangelical/ right to lifers as also as complicit as the neocons.
THE CATHOLIC CHURCH
Let us not forget the Catholic church, my church I am ashamed to admit, is equally complicit and knee deep in the slime that is being perpetrated on our beloved American democracy. The Catholic church has it's own agenda and that has nothing to do with preserving our country or our democratic values and institutions.
I am disgusted with my church and demand the Vatican, Pope Benedict XVI (aka the enforcer within the church, like Tom DeLay, the hammer) MUST GET OUT OF AMERICAN POLITICS. The Catholic church is shaping American foreign and domestic policy and MUST BE STOPPED. The Catholic church also worships at the altar of political power.
The minions of the church are widespread and deeply embedded in the Bush/ Republican stranglehold over the 241 million of us Americans who did not vote for Georgie boy. Just look at the number of Repub politicians who are catholic. Then there are the talking heads and MSM who are catholic like Tim Russert, Rupert Murdoch, the screaming Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity, Joe Scarborough etc.etc ad nauseam.
The Catholic church was involved with the nazis during and after WWII even helping them escape from Germany.
So the Catholic church is a fundamentalist radical right wing organization completely aligned with the Republican party by Pope John Paul II when Reagan became pres. and still is.
It is clear that the neocons and white southern confederate Baptists are not the only groups responsible for and complicit in the never ending erosion of American freedoms and values.
Also let's not forget the US Chamber of Commerce and the corporatocracy for whom money and political power are far more important than America.

Bush and Repubs Will Never Support Education

[Read more letters about this article: Here]All of America's schools will be neglected because that stupid 'No Child Left Behind Program' is a totally phony Bush/Rove/Repub program that was never designed to actually accomplish anything other than to intimidate teachers just as Reagan intimidated the air traffic controllers in order to break their union and all unions.
Bush cares nothing at all about pro-life if he did he would see that America's families get a living wage, proper health care anda good education for ALL, ALL, ALL children. But no republican will ever do that because it is in direct opposition to the tenets of the Republican party. Their conservative agenda is absolutely against it.
The conservative agenda of not investing anything in the American people and their families will one day reveal itself to be the downfall of America. 'We the people' are America, NOT the Bush family, the corporations, the wealthy or the conservative republican party.
One example of this conservative republican non-investment in America, we all know that the Small Business Administration is to help small businesses. But the top recipients of funds from the SBA includes Microsoft, and that is an outrage and a criminal misuse of our tax dollars.
Bill and Melinda Gates will never be able to do enough charity work to compensate for that. Also, are they really spending their money on their charity work or the money of the American taxpayer.

[Read more letters about this article: Here]I think the GOP knows no shame and has no morals despite what they constantly claim. Buecause of that I think the GOP will not lose in the 2006 elections because of their ability to corrupt elections ie. Diebold voting machines etc.
The Rethugs now have renewed help from the Catholic church, I am a Catholic but not that kind, via the pope re-sending his message to catholic voters to vote republican when he deliberately made his recent remarks about muslims and Islam.
Does anyone really think the Rethugs will give up in 2008 either.
I am leading up to my belief that the GOP will do anything they have to do to stay in power lest they be investigated by the Dems after 2006 or 2008. So let's assume they stay in power what will happen after 2006 or 2008 is that all Americans will have to submit to not just election IDs' but IDs' will become mandatory to track the behavior and whereabouts of all americans.
Election IDs' are just the beginning.
