They Will Most Assuredly Try Something

[Read more letters about this article: Here]If Bush,the nazi-fascist neocons and the radical right wing theocrats decide Bush should have a third term he will have a third term no matter how illegal it is.
This may be a trial balloon or a portent of things to come. The GOP doesn't care about patriotism or America they care only about greed and political power.
Remember when they floated the trial balloons of Laura Bush for president then a few days latter they floated Condi for president. That was when the two of them were on that trip to Africa, Niger I think. We've heard nothing about those two balloons since then.
But this is another matter. The Bush cabal will see to it that another terrorist attack occurs and the right wingers will be so terrified that they will break every and any law to allow shrub to stay in power. They will give him complete support and attack anyone who attempts to stand in opposition to this hijacking of our government.
Shrub and Co. will have the troops and local police on ready alert for immediate deployment to shoot any of us who oppose or resist in any way.
The only possibility that has some hope of forstalling this kind of event is if the Dems get some power in the up-coming election and start investigations of the Bush criminals who have already hijacked two elections.
Also possibly if Bush 41 is still alive he may speak out against such an event as might Clinton and Carter. Pres. Ford probably won't live that long and besides he pardoned Nixon so he might support this possibility.
I think Bush, Cheney&Co. are terrified of investigations, impeachment and prison terms for high crimes and misdemeanors. Remember 13233 whereby the US does not get control of dubya's papers once he is out of office this is a violation of existing law but 13233 is in effect anyway. I think I got that correct. If 13233 doesn't sound like Bush admin fear I don't know what does.
Remember the re-classification of old already declassified documents which is more of the same secrecy. The Bush admin and the GOP must have a tremendous amount to hide and going way back at that and all the way to the Nixon admin which involved Cheney, Rumsfeld and Gerald Ford.

[Read more letters about this article: Here]I loved your post. I have watched Peter Beinart on three occassions and he is really sharp. On one occassion he interviewed one of the right wingers on c/span and brilliantly refuted each of his contentions until the right winger(can't remember who it was) became speechless and confused.
But just to let it be known Peter Beinart is a neocon and part of PNAC. I don't know how Mr. Beinart reconciles these two seeming dichotomies. Maybe he just wrote a book to sell and make money.
I absolutely do not like the nazi-fascist neocons like Cheney and John Bolton. I hate Hitler and the nazis' and these people are no different. Any means justify their desired ends. These people are sick and would bomb millions to get what they want, and they are in control of our government. These people are out of control and have taken our government away from 'we the people'. They will do whatever it takes to bring about their 'NEW WORLD ORDER' even if it means destroying our beloved America, our 'system of checks'(which they have already destroyed) and our rights and freedoms via doing whatever it takes to keep the Republicans in power for an entire generation as they have claimed they will do.
Hitler and the nazis' created the holocaust by vilifying jews and the likes of Cheney and Bolton are doing the same by creating another holocaust. They are dehumanizing, demonizing and vilifying democrats, war dissenters, muslims, blacks, hispanics, gays, abortionists, women seeking abortions and destroying the reputations of anyone who gets in their way.
They are aided in their endeavor by radical right wing religious fundamentalists in America including white southern Baptists and the Catholic Church, my church I am ashamed to say.
I wish and hope that Peter Beinart is one of us he has a fine mind and we could certainly use his help to stop the destruction of our democracy.
I think a great coalition would be Amy Goodman (democracynow.org) Noam Chompsky, George Lakoff, Jeffrey Nunberg, Norman Finkelstein, Amb. Edward L. Peck, pres. Jimmy Carter because these are all reasonable people who can slice right through the rhetorical crap/spin of Rove, Morris and the entire Republican.
In the interests of full disclosure I am not even a Democrat but I am an American and America comes first not last as the Repubs and neocons believe.
