The Catholic Church, my church I am ashamed to admit, started this whole hate the middle east thing when Pope Urban called for and supported the first crusade whereby crusaders attacked the middle east killing muslims. That is still in the history and minds of the muslim population to this day. More crusades followed. Muslims have not forgotten these events. That is the problem with the zealotry of the Catholic religion which is such a strong supporter of George Bush who thinks he should bomb anyone he so chooses.

I am absolutely convinced that killing others was not the message of Jesus Christ and is totally contrary to the laws of God, our Creator.

Next came British colonialism emanating from the British caste system in England. I'm not sure how much that still exists today but an english friend told me that to some extent it still does and she was very aware of it while growing up.

Anyway, the British colonial imperialism did enormous damage throughout the middle east and Africa to muslims, hindus and every other religious group and people in that part of the world.

So thanks to the crusades spurred on by Catholic and later Protestant religious zeal and British imperial colonialism grew jihadism. Killing by religious zealots on both sides was wrong then and is still wrong and totally against the laws of God and teachings of Christ, the real Jesus Christ not George Bush who claims to be christ(intentionally uncapitalized for clear differentiation which is done for all the right wing religious radicals who think Bush is what HE claims).

So now we all must live in fear. Jihadism was a small flickering flame when Bush and Cheney and the nazi-fascist neocons poured gasoline on that small flame. They were helped along by radical right wing fundamentalists in America like the Catholics and white southern Baptists which have taken control of the entire Republican party which supports Bush and his group of HATE.

They all poured gasoline on jihadism and fed right into it rather than defuse it by among other things catching bin Laden, followed up by a lot of diplomacy. Bush '41' clearly saw this coming. Bush '43' & Co. did this due to their own private agenda which still exists to this day and will never end. The main components of this agenda are greed and political power and 'a new world order'.

So America has become and will continue to grow into an armed camp with closed walls and a closed and unthinking society bent on hate and killing which is supported by American christians. All of which will affect every aspect of our lives including our architecture and so very many other things. I'm glad I don't have long to live I hate seeing what the aforementioned groups have done to my beloved America.

The very fabric of our American society is now deeply fractured and is being rent asunder by the right wing crazies who think and insist they know the mind of God and will enforce and carry it out even if they have to kill millions to do it.

These people keep on stirring the pot of hate and intolerance which leads in only one direction, to killing. We should all have learned from the first holocaust perpetrated by Hitler and the nazis' no we are engaged in a second holocaust. When will it ever end.

  • Thanks Sidney

    Keep on keeping on---

Keep on saying what you say and say it a thousand more times and in a thousand ways.

Some say we are preaching to the choir but that is exactly what is needed. We need to know that there are others just like ourselves who think that the Bush admin and the Bush crime family (Jeb is next, waving another confederate flag) are completely useless.

Another reason to keep preaching to the choir is that we share our ideas with each other and thus will be better equipped to handle the insane rhetoric of Karl Rove and his machine of hate and destruction of our rights and freedoms.

I most wholeheartedly agree with the writer who contrasted the LA Times review of Bush's press conference with the real press conference. The press conference I saw showed Bush to be in borderline meltdown, his thinking and words were muddled and his squirming, bobbing and weaving resembled that of a punch drunk fighter, or maybe just a drunk.

If the little shrub gets any worse Rove will have to pull him out of the ring and keep him away from public interaction where we can observe him up close and personal as they say.

The little shrub may be in the terminal phase, which is the only hope for our beloved America or it will go into a terminal phase thanks to the Republican party which supports the shrub in everything he does.

Good golly miss molly, and I'm not even a Democrat. I'm became an independant during the Vietnam war when all the politicians lied to 'we the people'. I know, all politicians lie but that still does not make it right and those who lie should be burned for it.

Impeach Bush and Cheney and put them both in jail for the rest of their lives. No more pardons for anyone.
