Adding on to ecthompson's "Who's surprised"
[Read the article: Ron Suskind, George W. Bush and the Aug. 6, 2001, PDB]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]If Bush really understood the war on terrorism he would have quietly gone about the business of getting Bin Laden shortly after 9/11 and not stopping until that goal was accomplished.
Had Bush really understood the war on terrorism he would not have wasted precious time and treasure (tax dollars) by invading Iraq which was and still is a completely separate issue.
Had Bush really understood the war on terrorism he would have gone after the Saudi family and Saudi Arabia because that's where almost all of the terrorists came from.
Had Bush really understood the war on terrorism he would have gone after the Canadian government because that is where the terrorists came from.
Had Bush really understood the war on terrorism he would have done far, far, far more to secure our borders, both Canadian and Mexican, immediately or at least shortly after 9/11.
All of which, along with so many others, makes me wonder and question the entire 9/11 event and how it was 'ALLOWED' to happen.
How the 'dullard' Bush family ever got into political power is absolutely bizarre beyond belief.
How dubya ever got through Yale says much about Yale and it's totally questionable/suspicious standards and policies.
My firm belief is that the oil industry is directly involved in the Bush family getting into political power, dullards can be easily manipulated.
My guess is that the oil industry (and Condi Rice, the oil princess) is in some way involved in 9/11.
My firm belief is that the oil industry is directly involved in the Iraq war.
My firm belief is that the oil industry (which has always considered itself above the law as does Georgie boy and his almost 800 signing statements and violation of the FISA law) is directly involved in prolonging this war.
To quote myself, "Let's point fingers and name names".

WOW, good responses all
[Read the article: The next real estate boom]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]and may I add Ohio to the list of corrupt states full of totally self serving politicians who care not at all for the average joe taxpayer.
It is 'we the people' who support this whole damn and totally self indulgent political system. Our/their system is nothing but largesse for the pols.
We need term limits for all pols, a max of two four year terms sounds about right to me, then out they go.
Also no money from ANY special interest groups for any reason.
Just maybe 'we the people' should develop a list of those few pols, in either party, who seem to want to do the work of the people. Then we must speak of their good work very often and watch them like hawks for any 'slippage'.
Sing their praises often and punish them like hell when they slid. In other words what I am saying is 'we the people' must take back America and make it our America once again, not their America with us paying the bills.
Isn't that called a taxpayer revolt aka "No Taxation Without Representation".
Somehow that rings my bell.
