[Read more letters about this article: Here]Those who voted for Reagan as the best president need to think again and they are probably also the ones who voted for Bush for pres.
Reagan committed many crimes, anyone remember government within a government aka Iran-Contra.
Reagen slept through his presidency while Nancy and his advisors ran the country.
Reagan did not defeat communism, Pope John Paul II did that,also the American taxpayer who allowed/ caused/ put up with our government to spend the former Soviet Union into bankruptcy. In other words we, the taxpayer, just outspent them and of course we continue to pay the price for all that spending by more spending(Bush and the GOP) to maintain our military and keep us as the world's policeman.
The bad thing Pope John Paul II did was to align the Catholic Church,my church I am embarrassed to say, with the Republican party an alignment which is still in effect to this very day and brought/foisted the corrupt and criminal George Bush upon the American people.
Someday China will outspend us, they will just outspend us into defeat. But I can see the possibility that some good could come out of that. It may be the turn of events that will stop US hegemony and stop the neocons and 'theocrats'.
Theocrats= those who want to merge church and state in order to jam their own personal religious beliefs down the throats of all other Americans and all the peoples of the world at the point of a gun.
Bush is the worst, most selfish and most vicious president America has ever had and Cheney is the worst vice pres. Next worst is Nixon, also selfish and vicious. Reagan and Bush Sr. were somewhat less corrupt and mostly just feckless.
Hopefully those who voted for Bush and who claim to be christians will come to their right mind and see that the destruction of America, destruction of the world and destruction of the planet is decidely/ actually/ really completely UNCHRISTIAN.

Let's Name Names

I, from time to time, put in my email comments that 'we the people' have to get down to business ie. we must name names and make lists of just who these people are who perpetrate crimes and damage upon America to serve their own purposes instead of serving for the purposes of 'we the people', which they have been elected to serve.
So lets find out, as jfriesne says, who are these people, lets name their names and lets make lists of just who these people are who seek to radically change/destroy our beloved America, our democracy, our 'system of checks and balances', our nation of laws.
We all are aware of the obvious ones Bush, Cheney, Rummy, Rice, Ashcroft, Gonzales, Rove, most Repubs, Dems who won't stand up to them for America, all Georgies cronies and political appointees, people like Rupert Murdoch and his Fox-ies(the screaming Bill O'Reilly etc.)also Yoo,Alito,Roberts etc. ad nauseam.
But I/we forget about the silent hidden ones who pass out the all the money like the CEO's(Bush's rangers) of Diebold and ES&S and the other e-voting machines and all the other corporate people who largely remain hidden behind the scenes and who should be exposed to the light of day for the great damage they do to our American democracy.
