  • Re: Sexist piglets

    [Read the article: Sexist piglets]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Some of the comments were seemingly sexist but I really

think those comments were just in poor taste and maybe

not meant to be sexist. I am no fan of H. Meirs but I

think the comments really arise out of the tremendous

frustration people feel toward the Bush way of running

    our country. The Bush/Cheney/Republican/radical right

wing white southern evangelical religious/Catholic way

    of constantly politicizing/spinning/lying about every-

thing has an ever and rapidly growing number of Americans frustrated and angry.

The relationship between Bush and Meirs is also offensive and quite juvenile to many of us who expect

more intelligence and sophistication of these people.

Instead many and certainly I feel insulted that another

'stupidity' is being foisted on us with such typical

Bush/Republican arrogance. They just must think we are

that dumb as to not be able to see through their constant shenanigans and screw-ups'. So we/I just feel

another load of frustration and anger. As a result some

tactless statements come out similar to those directed

    at Ms. Meirs.

  • And The Spin Goes On...

[Read the article: Ken Mehlman spins the election results]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

    Dear Editor,

It will be abundantly clear when the Republican Party

and the Bush administration is serious and fully commited to reform. As long as the spin continues that

is the best indicator to the American people that they

are not going to make any changes.

When the spin stops then we the people will know that they are finally ready to begin making changes, and changes that will probably be for the good of the USA.

  • Usual Oil Co. bullshit

[Read the article: Oil executives testify about profits and prices -- but not under oath]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

    Dear Editor,

This situation of not testifying under oath is another

perfect example that the Bush Administration/Republi-

can Party are still working solely on their own behalf.

They clearly are not working on behalf of the American

People. These people have zero patriotism for our

    country and our citizens.

  • Secrets/Libby/Republicans/Bush/Bushies

[Read the article: Just in time for your holiday giving ...]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

    Dear Editor,

Yes I am sure they will want to keep names of the contributors secret. That strategy is typical of every

one connected to the Bush Administration/Republican

Party members including those who voted for Bush in the

first and second election. They all seem very afraid to

let their true identities become known. This is the

secret society, like the bonesman, that rule the

    American People.

Complete lack of transparency is the means by which

these people rule and control America.

  • Bunker Mentality

[Read the article: The other CIA leak case]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

    Dear Editor,

I agree Frist and Hastert are also suffering from bunker

mentality, and they have it just as bad as Bush.

A small glimmer of hope, at least Reps. Shays and Graham are not letting their own bunker tendencies get

in the way of clear thinking about this issue. They

show strength of character and I applaud them. They

may be the future hope for the Republican Party. These

gentleman also seem to have some morals and some

    patriotism.

Possibly Shays and Graham see their allegiance to

the truth and to America supercede their allegiance to

the Republican Party. Stay with us Shays and Graham you

seem to be headed in the right direction.

Bush is the problem with his presidency, he needs to

attend ethics class. I firmly believe that no amount

of ethics will help him as he has no morals and no

character. So he needs to get rid of Cheney and Rove.

There seems to be no one suitable to be vice president

    certainly not Jeb Bush.

If I were Bush the first thing I would do after firing

the above would be to hire David Gergen. I like that

guy and the way he thinks. Secondly, I would somehow

try to get President Jimmy Carter to serve in some

advisory capacity. Mr. Carter has morals and character. Next,Bush should consider Shays and Graham for his staff if Mr. Carter and Mr. Gergen approve. If Bush can

get Brent Scowcroft or one of his proteges (not Condi) for his security advisor that would be another step in the right direction With Carter and Gergen as anchors GW can build a good to very good administration.

  • Vaguely Knowledgeable

[Read the article: A shed of one's own]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

    Dear Editor,

Unfortunately for me I am only vaguely knowledgeable

about Garrison Keillor. This particular article really talked to my spirit, roots and origins. WOW Despite my

    daily depression over Bush/Bushies/Republicans/radical

religious right white, mostly southern baptist evangelical fundamentalists who are more concerned with

their amoral disrespectful(of all others) and totally

    un-American and un-patriotic viewpoints, I was rendered

almost helpless by paroxysms of uncontrollable laughter

    by Garrison's article.

My soul has been healed, for today at least, and my body

is in balance(ying/yang) by Mr. Keillor's writing. His

writing is so vivid I have a burning yearning for my

    own shed.

Thanks so much for carrying his articles. I look forward with great anticipation for his next article.
