Her deadly wolf program

With a disdain for science that alarms wildlife experts, Sarah Palin continues to promote Alaska's policy to gun down wolves from planes.

The letters thread is now closed.

Dang! McCain-Palin are definitely taking the White House this year!

After reading all the posts on the internet from thrashing, befogged, desperate Obama Nation... I have to say that they all realize by now that Obama will lose this one. The Palin pick by McCain was a masterstroke of a chess move that has left ON without a clue on how to attack their opponents in a way that will make the electorate choose Obama. They are now hoping (begging?) that Hillary will rescue them from this black hole they have dragged the Dems into -- but it won't happen. You will lose, ON -- and you richly deserve to do so. The Dems will have to wait another four years -- but it isn't a problem: the House and Congress will be under Dem control until then.

Hillary 2012 !!!

Go back to Chicago politics, Obama, and stay there. That's where you belong and that's all you're good for.

redneck for sure

This woman is so redneck there just has to be a Chevy 350 big block hanging from a tree in the front yard. Heaven help America if she ever had office.

Any Hunter Worth His Salt Should Know:

Natural culling by predators and scavengers keeps a herd healthy and within population limits, while ensuring the range of the herd animal is not over-grazed. Also, when you remove a natural predator from any specie's environment the attendant increase in survival rate allows less robust genes and diseases to be passed on. This is not rocket science and "expert knowledge" is not required, any hunter worth his salt knows these facts.

Therefore, as one of the few noted "fields of expertise" that this woman supposedly can lay claim to is bogus, can we assume that any other area of expertise is also phony?

I am a hunter and a conservationist.

Palin Actually DONE Nothing As Governor That's Pro-Life

Conservative/Bible-believing Christian (NOT Republican Party cheerleader!) exposes Palin’s do-nothing, supposedly “pro-life” record. Please listen and comment.

* Being a Republican is not a disease but rather a choice – a very bad, destructive choice. So, please, no pity for those who suffer from Republicanism. We “RRs” have no telethon yet but many support groups are springing up across this once great country of ours – a country no longer great because it has been destroyed by, among others, Republicans.

WISH THE MEDIA HAD SPENT AS MUCH TIME

on George W. Bush and Dick Cheney when they first ran for office back in 2000! Then we wouldn't be sitting here listening to all this crap from you blow-hards about this one...female.

Wake up America!

George Bush was elected by his people twice. The result is this chaotic situation. Now electing McCain/Palin will be another mistake-a continuation of the same politics. America, you have your destiny in your hands.

Stop blaming George Bush and take responsibilities for your actions. As the Yakomas of Central African Republic say,"It's not weeds that choke out the grain, it's the negligence of the farmer."

It's very clear...

...that Sarah Palin is a wolf in veep's clothing.

"less cruel and a lot quicker"

did you watch the video linked in the story above? here it is for convenience.

i would not consider that a quick death, and it is quite cruel. they aren't using high powered rifles to shoot the wolves in the head, they are using shotguns that spray shot into the wolves, injuring them but not killing them.

Monday, September 8, 2008 07:36 AM

Here's the real talking point:

The real talking point is this: Twice, TWICE, the people of Alaska (very pro-hunting) voted to ban the aerial gunning of wolves. Palin disregarded the will of the people-- now, how can her advocates make excuses for that?

She is a real sick-o, folks. Get used to it.

Monday, September 8, 2008 07:36 AM

Shooting wolves

Oh, knock it off, you whacko, the thinning of herds of animals of all kinds is a timeworn answer to many problems with animals, including over population, and Gov Palin did absolutely the right thing. I wish our intellectual Gov in NJ would set out to let us shoot geese, pigeons and squirrels, which make our lives miserable in many ways. but he doesn't, the only ones shooting here are still the criminals.

Monday, September 8, 2008 07:42 AM

Fringe?

Anybody else getting the feeling Alaska forgot to turn their clocks ahead, like 50 years?

Who does this shit anymore? Are they still bear-baiting and cock fighting up there?

More evidence this 'gal's' out of touch.

I'd say she's way out on the frayed end of the fringe.

Monday, September 8, 2008 07:54 AM

Gunning down a wolf to save a starving stipened hunter.

My question for the devil...

If life is so hard for these hunters, and they can't hunt enough meat. ( I guess a 600lb moose only goes so far for a single hunter) why do they stay?

I love it, she does what she wants. Wow she's some kind of Alaskan princess.

:Shaking head in disgust: I just don't have the energy to read her quips today. Sigh.
