    Reductionist Straw Man

Consciousness and human/animal agency prove ... god? Paulson says Kauffman is basically a 'philosopher' not a scientist?

Why Kauffman's hurry to put forward his ideas because he is 70? What does he think is going to happen? Can't he push religion after he's dead? Or is his personal consiousness going to be 'reduced' to, oh, organic matter? Why the big hurry? He'll 'live on' all right, in Salon articles...

This is the third article in a row beating the drum for religion. I feel like I'm trapped listening to Crista Tippet on NPR. Her show was introduced to NPR by the Republican head of that outfit. I wonder what neo-liberal schedules these on a regular basis at Salon? Oh, that's right, Obama believes in faith-based financial aid to the needy. And Salon must ask itself, what would Obama do?
