When someone says they are a "technophile," that is the polite way of saying they are materialistic.
You simply need to stop buying stuff you think you need but you really don't. It's not the "fun" answer, but it's the correct one.
A device that obliterates old unwanted gadgets. I have an industrial plasma cutter. The focal temp is around 50K degrees F. That's about 3x the temp of the surface of the sun.
Or pussy (as the case may be) ....... it requires no extra resources .... most "technophiles" are just lovers of toys ....
no different than rednecks with their pickup trucks, guns and love of sports .......
