It isn't the date that matters.

I think Anonymous is hung up on the date "9/11". It would not have mattered if the attacks occurred on 9/14, 9/10, etc. the salient fact is that the Bush administration knew that an attack was imminent and did nothing to stop it. And McKinney was right on that point as well as others. The record is clear and no amount of revisionist history will change it.

Richard Clarke stated in his testimony before the 9/11 Commission that alarm bells were going off throughout the government. We were also being warned by any number of other nations as well. But instead of doing anything to prevent the imminent attacks, Bush chose to go on vacation. And then when the attacks were actually occurring he chose to sit with an elementary class reading tales of goats.

Again, it is worth noting that McKinney was one of the few brave enough to go against the Rove slime machine by raising legitimate doubts about Bush regarding 9/11 and the slime machine has made her pay dearly. The piling on by Salon and others, like anonymous, is merely gratuitous.

The irony is that BushCo ignored the very real imminent attack that came on 9/11 but then used the threat of a bogus "imminent attack" from Saddam to justify the invasion and occupation of Iraq.

Anon, you're aiming your darts at the wrong person.
