He looks amused to me...

Bush looks like he's laughing throughout this video.

Can Anyone say Carpetbagger

Bush and his family are not Texans. They are from Kenny Buckport Maine. They are not true texans.

They are "Carpetbaggers" and does anyone remember what we here in the south did to Carpetbaggers after the Civil War? Does anyone remember what they are? They are opportunist that moved into an area to take advantage of its resources and depleted economy.

Being the opportunist that Bush is, he got his "Ranch" back during the Regan S&L bailouts during the late 80's. He and one of his brothers ran a failed S&L.

God only knows how little he paid the original owners to scam them and walk away with that property.

Even his dad only kept an apartment residence in Houston during his terms as vp then pres. so he would have a permanent address to vote in Texas.

Back to the Colbert piece, I laughed hysterically. Of course, this is from one that got all of the satire and the juxtaposition of the recipients. Specifically, I enjoyed his telling the media to go home and write that book on fiction, since that is pretty much what has been going on for the last 5 years.

For the record, I am an active "Yellow Dog" Democrat (circa 1992) who votes to preserve freedoms. The only way I can determine that this moron made it to being governor of Texas is ... Ann Richards was "swiftboated" by the republican KGB (Rove and Company). Ann Richards is the one that said daddy Bush was "...born with a silver boot in his mouth! ... "
