I love Obama!

He's great. He is an articulate speaker, and he is a talented communicator. (These aren't necessarily the same thing!) And notice that he did not repudiate Belafonte. I'm so tired of the media coercing prominent Democrats into turning on other liberals and parroting Republican-lite talking points. Barack Obama doesn't do that. He stays on message, in effect: "*I* wouldn't say it that way, but the problem or concern is real and this is why."

Fernwood 2Night, revisited

The Tim/Barack exchange reminds me of the old Fernwood 2Night episode, where a Jewish guy was caught speeding through Fernwood and after he was arrested, he appeared on the show, as "the speeding Jew," taking a number of viewer calls about things like Barbra Streisand's latest movie.

Yes, Tim, you know you've achieved greatness as a TV host when you're recalling great moments of Garth Gimble!
