Yes, Mr. Colbert, you are.
I'm glad I don't watch that show. But, yes, nice acting from Colbert.
those Law and Order people are amazing at getting down to the truthiness of the matter.
Unlike many comedians who rely on one liners or a static personality, I've always thought that what made Colbert so great was his ability to base his humor on character--tone of voice, body language, timing, interaction with other players, emotion. I think this clip showcases that, despite the overwrought script.
I hope The Colbert Report runs for a good long time, but I also hope we see more dramatic roles from him.
Stephen Colbert is the voice of Reducto and Phil Ken Sebben on Harvey Birdman, Attorney At Law. Reducto is hilarious.
I've never seen him do drama before. He's a good actor. He should do more.
But I began to wonder if D'Onofrio was trying to corner him or fuck him from the way he spoke his dialogue. Crrreeeeeepyyyyyyyyy....
I am a big-time fan of Law & Order:CI (watching it right now on USA, as a matter of fact), and the Colbert episode is one of my favorites. Colbert is REALLY good; incredible talent.
Call me a geek, but how can he forge the signature of a fictional character?
Colbert is excellent, as usual. It was just a little painful to watch him next to D'Onofrio. The way he plays his character makes my skin crawl, and not out of appreciation. Particularly when he's talking to the Criminals with Intent. Those mannerisms, that approach...wretched.
