Say what?

On what planet is it a given that Kevin Bacon is a "perennial over-actor?" He's been one of the most consistently solid, reliable actors of the last several decades.

I love when jackasses make comments like Puner's, that assume their nasty, sarky, petty views are naturally shared by everyone. Clearly, in this case, they're not. Puner stands alone in his little bucket of bile. What an asshole.

puny

have we become so cynical that we need to make fun of someone trying to do some good in the world?

is this YOUR contribution, puner?

Ah, did I miss something?

Wasn't all that bad, I thought. I mean, he's Kevin Bacon, not, say Al Pacino who is always warm and real and filled with genuine emotion. And if you want to go after somebody in "A Few Good Men" why not Mr. "I want the truth!" Cruise?

I say cool-it on Kevin and go after Pacino who can't do anything without chewing the scenery and yelling any more. Though that last scene in "The Devil's Advocate" is deliciously bad!

Seemed OK to me

Well, it seemed pretty heartfelt to me, but again, my expectations were lowered quite a bit by the VidDog intro text.

So he's not symmetrical. He's still quite a talent in my book. I'm far from a Bacon fanboy (well, the meat is pretty great), but I never even considered the whole '6 degrees' thing to be a jab at him. Just a comment on his prolific career, especially in supporting roles).

It Was Fine. Who Put the Cranky in YOUR Pants, Mr. Crankypants?

So, a guy who WAS the butt of a joke dealt with it without hysterics, and now is lending his name to a website that uses the joke to raise money for good causes.

He is a little tilted, but the gestures? My whole family talks like that. Big deal.

Get over it: he makes the big bucks, you don't.

thanks for lowering the expects

I'm glad you slammed K-sauce so hard in your intro because it lowered my expectations to such a degree that I can only say how much I liked the way he gave his little talk. That's an akward talk to give in some respects and he played it fairly solid and, to me, came across just about as genuine as one could in that context. He's always been just fine to me as a performer. I hope this new thing goes well.

Well, "me-ow," David

That was a bizarrely catty rant against a highly respected actor. Not quite sure what your motivation is.

Cut!!!!

Let's do it again...this time with some feeling.....zzzzzzzzzzzzzz...maybe you should go back to your trailer and find your motivation......?

That Was Quite Nice, Actually

But I agree, he seems to have a permanent crick in his neck.
