  • Why Are They Always Obese??

    I mean people like this, caught on camera doing mortifying things?

    Remember that show on ABC about 13 years ago, called "Caught On Tape!" Basically "America's Funniest Security Cam Videos." The most infamous thing they "caught" was a guy pissing in his boss's coffee pot...and of course he looked like he was carrying around at least an extra 100 pounds. Most of the rest so "caught" were likewise zaftig. Is there something about obesity that causes people to just not care how they look, whatever the circumstance??

  • Blast from the past

    Ms. Agnew was one of the instructors for my Technical Communications course at Seneca in Toronto. I didn't twig on the name at first, but after I played the video, I put the voice and the face together.

    WTF? This is where Video Dog is going -- posting clips of private people doing goofy things to be derided and mocked by hundreds of strangers? I generally enjoy Video Dog, but the joke of this clip seems to be that an older woman who doesn't look like a carefully styled, self-aware celebrity has dared to show herself in public laughing. Ha Ha, aren't uncool people stupid? Hilarious!

    How 'bout an overweight 10-year-old in a tutu falling down at a dance recital -- that's gotta be worth even more mean-spirited laughing. Or go the classic route -- man hit in groin with football. Everyone loves that kind of sophisticated humor!
