I've seen "Dial M for Murder" in 3-D and it's not as good a movie in 3-D than it is in 2-D. The 3-D actually detracted from the experience. Hitchcock may be a master of suspense, but he had no clue how to take advantage of 3-D.
"Inferno" is an example of a film that made excellent use of 3-D. It is a good movie in 2-D, but is much better in 3-D.
My favorite 3-D film is "Kiss Me Kate". It starts off with Ann Miller dancing on a table, singing "Too Darn Hot" in a skimpy costume. Now *that's* three dimensional!
