I know that the insurgents are directly responsible for this nightmare, but our invasion and occupation are indirectly responsible. We need to get the hell out of there.
This and Saif's story add a new kind of sick, tragic understanding to what war means.
For choosing to support and make available what seems to be an original and affecting take on daily life in Iraq. Adel's world is appropriately outraging, but unlike other vehicles for the truth of this painful reality, these pieces manage to be not only watchable but stylish. I look forward to future installments of a compelling (and masterfully edited) series.
The comment and video from people in Iraq seem so accepting and non chalant about how their lives are. I think this is a sad way to live a life.
