Boring

This show has turned into a snooze fest. I've been watching for what seems like forever and am about ready to tune out.

Once Cylons started making human replicas, a lot of the drama leaked away, and worse, where are the battles between Cylons and Galactica?

Madame President's weary delivery is becoming emblematic of the entire show. It all feels logy, and you see that even in the way some episodes are filmed, as if this is HIGH ART. Hey, it's sci-fi fun, or supposed to be.

As for "frack"? The best thing about the show has always been those Cylon helmets with the red lights darting back and forth going zzzt--zzzt--zzzt--zzzt.

Frak Ya!

Ok, but is it spelled with the "ck" or just a "k?" Love the show even though initially I was turned off by the premise. Yes, I liked the old Battlestar Galactica. However, Capt. Thrace's Starbuck would frak-up Dirk Benedict's Starbuck. She even handles a cigar better!

Welcome to Frackville

It's a nice show and watch it every chance I get, but I still hate "frack". All I can think of when I hear the word is the sad, gloomy run down coal mining town just up the highway from me:

Genius!

Whoever came up with using that word, to get the "F" word on TV without actually saying the "F" word was a fracking Genius. Mother Fracking A!

Frack!

I'm a rabid BSG fan, and I recently saw a clip of the original show that was in the extras of the Season 1 dvd set. I was surprised to hear Dirk Benedict use "frack" - turns out this f-word substitute is a feature of the original show, not an invention of the writers of the new one.

Cuss-words in Space

The substitution of nonsense words for obscenities and cuss-words seems to be a time-honored tradition in SciFi writing. Who could forget the liberal sprinklings of "frells" (the F-Word) and "drens" (the S-word) in "Farscape"? And, given that I don't understand Mandarin, my mind always imagined that an "unacceptably-colorful" phrase was being uttered by the crew of the Serenity in "Firefly" (who, incidentally, cussed "Gorram" [the G-D-word] a fair amount, but used the plain-spoken word "rut" in place of the F-word).
