Obama is losing the nomination by being "Kerryized"
If Barack Obama doesn't start attacking Clinton and the press for the dozens of insignificant allegations being made against him, particularly people that he had a distant relationship or second person relationship with, then he will surely lose the nomination. He has to demonstrate to the American people that he has the "guts" to answer these charges and to make counter charges. For instance Clinton claims to have had eight years of "National and International" experience while in the White House. The only experience that I know of is her "Domestic" experience of not being able to control her husband and his sexual adventures with an Intern. If this is the best of her experience that she can claim, then our country will be in serious trouble if she is elected.
Why doesn't the press and Obama bring this up as they continue to bring up his past experiences? Unless Obama shows that he is not afraid to drag up material like this - as Clinton does - then he will be "labeled" just like Kerry was and will surely lose.

Obama will lose this election
From a post below: "I think all the more highly of Barack Obama that he was annoyed and irritated at the low level of this "debate" and seemed hesitant to become involved."
He's an extremely intelligent man, professorial in demeanor, and when facing a roomful of intellectual adolescents he gets understandably annoyed. In this country we scorn intelligence like Obama's. (As my mother would say, he's being "hoity-toity" when he tries to explain gray areas of a topic and doesn't resort to pandering one-liners that he knows will please the ignorant -- tell them exactly what they want to hear and not challenge their cloistered world view.)
Make no mistake people: All politicians know this. So they pander, because it works. We want to hear that the way we see the world is the right way to see the world. That's why Bush got elected twice. That's why Oprah is so popular.
Obama is learning this the hard way as Hillary welcomes him to the club. And he will at last be defeated by the ultimate "I'm with stupid" machine, the Repubicans, and go the way of another intellectual who was destroyed by this sick machine: Al Gore. Like Gore, Obama will lick his wounds, then go on to do something great for the world. And the intellectually mature countries of the world will honor him while the adolescent U.S. snickers it's way down the toilet because it refuses to embrace it's wisest citizens, because people like Obama are just too "hoity-toity."

No Matter Who Wins, Joan Has Fallen
No matter who wins - and I'll support either one - Joan Walsh has fallen from grace.
The worst part is not her craven refusal to admit - or deal with - her own bias. Nor is it how this bias has slanted Salon's general coverage.
Nor is it Salon's penchant for articles aimed at stoking reader anger at both candidates. Nor how they pandering to rage and divison so much they might as well be working for Rove. Nor is it how Salon rarely presents any facts, let alone examine actual policies, stances and promises.
No, it is how Salon stomps through this sewer obsessviely on a daily basis while ignoring a huge number of other topics. Topics of vital importance, which we want to read and discuss.
Instead the one article which even gets near the global food crisis is a navel gazing article about a middle class person buying beans.
Salon is taking the most, shallow, lazy approach to its alleged mission, and doing this at the very same time it publishes a columnist who dissects every single vile editorial policy which Salon is wallowing in.
Shame on you Joan Walsh. And don't try to pretend you are only giving the audience what they want - as Glenn Grenwald points out, this is a cheap excuse.

pig pile on Obama!
The story here is not that Obama "stumbled", but that the questions were ludicrous.
Does your minister love America as much as you do, Joan Walsh?

Considering...
Rasmussen poll is now Obama 45 to Clinton 43, Obama is way down from where he was..
AND...
Gallup is Obama 47 to Clinton 44. On both of these, Obama went down significantly and Clinton up in the past several days.
So, yeah, I would say the poor showing at the debate hurt him.
And in Pennsylvania, it's important to look at polling companies that really have a one hell of a great track record (elections called on a dime) and my money goes to SurveyUSA and their last poll was Clinton 54 to Obama 40 a few days ago. If SurveyUSA were a racehorse, I'd be following them around the country to every race - making a bundle.
Obamabots (that doesn't mean all all Obama supporters, just the ones with their head in the Obama clouds) can spin all they want to, it won't change reality. Gravity still works.

Will Obama' debate stumble hurt him?
I think it has hurt him. The recent polls show Clinton dead even nationally. Obama skirts the questions and never drives it home. He has a credibility problem. He stumbled through serious questions and provides no answers. When asked about why he refuses to wear the American Flag pin on his lapel he danced around the question never answering it. I urge anyone who doubts his to go to ABCnews.com and read the transcripts. Te question asked about Jeremiah Wright was not answered. Obama lied when he said during the debate he has disassociated himself from Rev. Wright which contradicts his race speech when he said he could no more dis-own Rev. Wright then he could his white grandmother.
The American people are not stupid, we have good memories and a subject so serious is a problem for Obama It goes to judgment and he lacks good judgement as do the Superdelegates who endorse him because they see the movement not the man.
Michelle Obama recently whispered "we need t have some white people behind Barack" and no mention from the media. Imagine Hillary saying we need black people behind me. She would never live it down.
Obama failed the test of armor. He unfortunately has none. The debate has delivered a scary truth about the man who has spent a great deal of time skirting issues and this past debate has delivered us a man who will not be able to tolerate the right from character assassinations, while Hillary Clinton has the armor and a debate between Clinton an McCain would show how tough Hillary is. A debate with McCain and Obama will lead to more stumbling. Obama has not been vetted, but he has gotten away with way too much while Hillary Clinton has not. She is criticized for the same things Obama does. Double standard? You better believe it!!!
