Oh, and by the way...

Barista is not one of the professions - you cannot transfer those skills to, for instance, the British system of common law justice. You are counter help at a coffee shop, and just because you charge $3 for only enough espresso to fill the hollow of my left palm, does not mean you get to act like you are doing me a favor. Yeahm, soul, whatever.

I missed something

When did Starbucks have soul? I regarded them as soulless McCoffee trolls in the late 1990s when they opened up a branch directly across the street from the beloved independent coffee shop with the awesome pastries and to-die-for lentil soup on my campus.

Cookies

My partner is the coffee fiend of the family and he prefers Peet's. And for me, the baked goods are better elsewhere, including at Peet's. They have great ginger molasseses cookies.

I have been to stores with one server and 10 people in line.Complexity of service .these folks are just not ordering plain java, but something like Burgerking have it your way stuff. very frustrating to stand behind someone ordering complicated cup of coffee and you could see it on the server face. more staff is what they need
