America's new enemies are coming! Can Newt save us?

Paganism isn't the enemy!

As a Christian, I think the problem with 21st Century America is Idolatry. How come people keep getting them confused?

I guess Republicans don't want to talk about idolatry because if they did, they'd have to confront their obsessions with flag burning, the Pledge of Allegiance and their worship of Ronald Reagan.

NEWT CONVERTS TO CATHOLISIM

Since he doesn't want to be the next Pope, he must BE auditioning for the next POTUS.

Newt

Wow, never have I heard a party so completely delusional. They really sound off the rails these days and completely incomprehensible to me. Is it some type of secret GOP-speak? ... Seriously though, I'm so completely confused what the message of the GOP is anymore, it is just randomly asserted wedge issue, focused grouped words chosen to somehow separate us.

I'm not a christian but I am religious. I don't wear my religion on my sleeve and it disappoints me to see others do it so blindly that it comes off as hypocritical.

Finally a reason for Newt's continued presence

...if only to supply raw material to guys like Jason Bateman. Actually I think that may be the most productive thing the Newter has done in his extended 15 minutes on the public stage. :)

...now if he had said ZOMBIES instead of Pagans, I could have gotten with the program.

You know what's kind of ironic......

People like Newt, love to go on and on about America being found on "Judeo-Christian" principles and blah blah blah....

Judeo-Christian my butt, More like Greco-Roman

The US as well as "the west" for that matter is built on Greco-Roman culture and principles, which ironically was very much "pagan"

Maybe Newt is just afraid some witches are going to steal his eyes for their potions :p

What a god-awful hypocrite

Considering that Newt divorced his first wife while she was in the hospital being treated for uterine cancer, and his second after she developed MS, the guy has no right to moralize to *anyone* about *anything*.

I was living in Atlanta at the time of Gingrich's third wedding, and I *so* wanted to go stand outside the church with a sign that read, "Don't get sick!"

The guy's a total loser. Why is anyone still listening him - except for the comedy fodder, of course.

Thanks a lot, Scott!

Newt, Newt, Newt

Someone should point out to Newt that the ACLU took up the case against a 10 Commandments posting in Tennessee, for example, in response to a request by local clergy and other concerned citizens.

And joined Jerry Falwell's case against the state of Virginia:

Oh never mind, he's not listening.

I blame the media

Would somebody in the media FINALLY call this guy on the hypocricy of his going after Clinton and calling himself a christian? These people can only get away with whatever the media will let them get away with.

Paganism revived!

Finally Pagan pragmatic symbolism is revived, if only by a demonic blind newt in its dank, deep-delved, dark cave. Apollo, god of poesy, light and truth; Athena, goddess of wisdom; and Bacchus, god of wine and mirth, can reign in man's mind again!
