La Raza! It's got one 'z'!

Means "the race". It's not an organization. There are dozens of La Raza organizations "National Council of La Raza", "La Raza Unida", etc. It refers to that special hispanic race (or mestizo) that is distinct from the Spaniards and all the other contributory races, and better.

So accepting that a party that chooses to use that name is just for reducing poverty is like accepting the Aryan Nation's assertion that they are for reducing poverty.

just checking your fact's m'am.

Community Organization

Tom Tancredo is an ignorant fool. He knows nothing of which he speaks. He sounds like an adolescent debating with his parents about staying out later than curfew. I would like to hear him talk to us about the Director of his immigration PAC that was picked up and indicted for assualting a woman on the streets for no good reason. He is no authority on what La Raza is, that is for sure. He would be comical if not so destructive.
