Excuse me, a little interest please?
But what the hell is going on at Video Dog? Are all you people out on vacation? Over the last couple of months, the page has dwindled down to where almost all the posts are either episodes of Hometown Baghdad or this rabbit thing. I mean, come on. They were interesting at first, but it got ridiculous about a month ago. Other than an occasional clip of Bill Maher, you people seem to have completely given up on this page.
Is there NOTHING out there in viral video land that you consider worth your while anymore? What happened to all the odd art vids, the clips from comedy shows, interesting commercials or interviews? Even the cute animal clips have disappeared, for gods' sakes!
Guys, get it together, please. Don't assume that you can just skate along on a couple of series that don't necessarily interest all your viewers. And if it's too much trouble to take a little time finding interesting stuff, then shut the column down. Because it's getting really depressing coming here and being reminded of how good it was about six months ago.

I am sure some people like the bunnies. Keep the bunnies. The bunnies are fine. I don't like the bunnies, but who I am to say there shouldn't be bunnies? Bunnies are cute. Even bunny noses are cute. And those bunny voices, so high-pitched and bunny-like! If a bunny could talk, I mean. That's probably how a bunny would sound. So it's a full audio-visual bunny experience. That's bunnyrific. Bunnies, bunnies, bunnies. Everybunny loves some bunnies....sometimes.
But come on. All we get is bunnies and Iraqis? It's a social-commentery vs. pop-culture 1-2 punch: Bombs vs. bunnies. Great.
What else ya got?

I agree with these posted letters. I haven't seen any great content on video dog in a while... maybe it's been a few slow weeks. Maybe people are on vacation. "The Fix" also went on hiatus.
But it could be worse. Salon could have chosen to hire Rob Anderson to take care of the video dog feature. I can't even imagine how horrible that would have been.

Enough annoying, squeaky rabbits. I have Hometown Baghdad on my aggregator. Is Video Dog defunct? This has become like a bad network television station. And, yes, I created a letters account specifically to write this; I hope very much that Video Dog can be revitalized. ~g

Glad to see the Bunnies back. I needed a break from all the rotten news this week. At least the bunnies can make me laugh and I know a little more about this Indian actress now.
Note to the whiners: A LOT OF PEOPLE DO ENJOY THESE BUNNIES, YOU DON'T HAVE TO WATCH THEM. SO NEXT TIME YOU SEE THEY ARE ON DON'T CLICK IF IT AGGRAVATES YOU SO MUCH. MAYBE YOU JUST NEED TO FIND SOMETHING ELSE TO WHINE ABOUT. I HAVE NO DOUBT YOU WILL.

I decided to leave a comment because after seeing another goddamned bunny video on top of endless "hometown baghdad" videos I've just had enough. And what do I see? A bunch of other people reaching the same tipping point simultaneously. Cool! Maybe this was some experiment by Salon to see how long they could feed us crap before we started complaining. It's the only logical explanation! I guess it's possible that they just got lazy and went through the motions, but that can't be true, this is Salon!

Glad to find company
I didn't watch the bunnies - I never do after the first time I saw them here. I just came to complain about the bunnies and I see I'm in good company. Video dog has gone way down hill. I used to see funny, interesting, sometimes beautiful videos here, now I rarely bother to check in.

Keep the Rabbits and please
go back to the old Video Dog. Go back to the time when it had a great assortment of entertaining and informative videos that made me want to come back for more. Enough with Hometown Baghdad, I get it. Betsy B

Rabbit Bites
I happen to like Rabbit Bites. I hope they stay on. The Baghdad videos I skip. I am "war-red" out. I am open to other things as well, but the Rabbits are light and refreshing. I happen to think they are clever, myabe not always hysterically funny but some of them are. Sometimes I need something just nonsensical, a nice departure from all the intensity of the collective unconscious, you can get sick of everything so serious all the time. Why not talking Rabbits.

I thought it was only me
who was sick to death of the unfunny bunny and the Baghdad videos. The only reason I checked the comments was to see if everyone else loved these bunny things. I like "new rules" the first time I see them on Friday night - do you have some deal with Bill Mahr?
Listen editors, if you're not going to post funny, hard-to-find, original videos anymore, have the decency to put videodog out of its misery. This is really, really bad.
